I really enjoy that sort of plot twist when your quest seems to be converging with some other strangers, but you have no idea what their intentions are.

I just had some bizarre dream last night where that was happening. You know how dreams tend to change rapidly. It was like I was watching a movie, then playing a game, and then actively participating in that storyline where that was happening. And some mysterious others had already been there right before me.

Anyone know of a good game that captures that feeling? Or even a movie? I do believe Ultima 7 inspired that sensation in me and I'm going to start replaying that now.

I'm asking because I can't really think of any. I was reading comments on the Gears of War trailer where people were disappointed the game didn't have the emotion of the trailer (I assumed Mad World was used as sort of a joke and wouldn't expect a shooter game to have that sort of feel).

The best I could think of was Torment, and perhaps the beginning of Baldur's Gate 2 while exploring the dungeon.

BG 2 is by far the best of the group. The biggest difference between this game and the others is the amount of interaction that you have with the members of your party.

I noticed Diablo has some cool in-game quotes (meaning not part of cutscenes or videos) from the warrior character, plus just the sound of his voice is cool. Reminds me a bit of Torment which I also liked a bit.

Just finished the quest where you kill this wizard. "What's the matter?Did I break your concentration?" as he dies.. nice!

What are some other good games featuring this type of voice acting?
