I just bought Fallout 3 yesterday, and after only about an hour of gameplay, I'm loving it. I'm especially in love with V.A.T.S., a system which pauses the game and allows you to queue up up to 5 moves on different body parts of different people.

For those of you who havn't bought the game yet, I would highly recommend it. There are a TON of ways to play the game, from being a rogue Vault escapee, slaughtering everything in your path, to being a nice guy who helps most everyone he meets. I personally chose the nice guy route, as I like games to be generally easy with the firstplay through, and I raise the difficulty on subsiquent playthroughs.

Also, I wasn't a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series, and although these have their similarities, I enjoy the FPS/RPG hybrid gameplay.
