No... Not big enough, not owned by a big enough company. And why does every game have to come to the 360? :|coolguy1111Because I don't want to play games on my computer. I'm rather lazy and want to spread out across a sofa with a controller in my hand.

I'm just agaisnt technologys that are clearly not going to improve the lives of anybody, like beta.....yoshi-lnexVideogames don't improve our lives either. It's just entertainment.
Another big reason Bluray is winning is because of the great selection of titles now available and upcoming for the format. To compare UMD to Bluray is lunacy. They have very little in common except for the fact that they are optical media and Sony pioneered both.If true, so what happens when people get sick of buying Blu-ray's for the PS3?
Do I hear UMD part 2?

[QUOTE="Runningflame570"][QUOTE="dru26"]Personally I like the image quality of HD-DVD 's 720p, over Blu-Rays 1080i, but HD-DVD has no chance. Sony gobbled up too many exclusives.dru26Uhm...both formats support resolutions up to 1080P, do you have any idea what you're talking about? Blu-Rays do not play in 720p, leaving most of us without 1080p sets to watch movies in 1080i. I own both an HD-DVD add on and a ps3. A little research never hurt, btw. You might want to do a little research as well. Stand alone Bluray players can play BD's in 720p.
It's simply all some people can afford.
[QUOTE="ramey70"][QUOTE="3picuri3"]Sony fanbois started to care about this crap and look where it got them.deadmeat59The 360 is also a HD capable machine, in fact it may be better than the PS3 in terms of gaming HD. It's doing pretty well for them. ps3 is the only true hd systhem thats a fact. ps3 has HDMI BLU ray and full 1080p. 360 only uses dvd just for that fact alone makes it not true hd cus u have to buy hd dvd. games will also be hurt by the lack of space on dvds The 360 is capable of rendering and upscaling 1080p images. It can produce 720p and 1080i images with ease and those are also standard HD resolutions. HDMI is not neccessary to transmit 1080p images for games. Nor is Bluray neccessary for HD as well as it is simply a storage medium.
[QUOTE="ramey70"]I've never gotten the knock on HD from Nintendo supporters. They can make a case that graphics aren't everything, which they aren't. But wouldn't it be nice if the Wii did support HD graphics? Would you really complain if it did?Ontainof course not. but what would the price of the system cost and how would that effect what type of games come out. I believe that if the wii was the same price as the 360 with just slightly worse graphics it wouldn't sell as well as it is now. That's a worthy arguement. But why the certain disdain for HD or the absurd notions that it's "isn't much of an upgrade" or how some people say it "isn't a noticeable difference". It seems some Nintendo supporters simply bash HD for the simple fact that the Wii doesn't have it. Why not just say "HD is awesome, and the Wii would be a better machine with it. However, the $250 price tag is nicer than having HD". Why are people so incapable of a rational position on this forum? (not saying you're one of those people).
