[QUOTE="kodex1717"]I was reading Engadget when I saw than and nearly spit out the water I was drinking. I never saw this coming. This makes things a little more interesting.BadAndy642

I'm at work right now and I almost had a heart attack.......so much for people saying that it is a dead format.

I think instead of one dead format we may now have two. At least I feel better about my HD-DVD add-on now!

Well Paramount and Dreamworks just went exclusive to HD-DVD so its no where near being decided. Cobra1237

Looks like we are stuck with two formats for a while.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who recognizes it. I can't imagine being so devoted to a piece of plastic and silicone or emotionally invest myself in the well-being or downfall of a faceless corporation.

The main advantage LED based DLP's have over their color wheel based traditional DLP counterparts is the immunity to the "rainbow effect". You also don't have to replace the expensive lamps. Other than that they are pretty much the same.

Reminds of the time I wast stumbling drunk through a Mexican border town on spring break during my sophmore year of college. I got two burritos from a sidewalk vendor for $1 and thought it was a great deal. I think I had liquid explosion ass for the next two days.

[QUOTE="Solid_Max13"]I respect Nintendo a lot for brining casual gamers into the market, but the way i see it everyday i see the wii becoming more of a fad everytime.Ontain

how do you define fad? the wii will be the lead console before the end of the year. and it's always sold well. if anything the ps3 is the fad since it's sales are way down since launch (when it was the fad).

A fad is something that explodes in popularity in a short amount of time and goes out of favor in a couple of years. There is no way to know right now if the Wii is a fad or not.
