I'm puzzled as to why you left out the digital surround sound capabilities of the 360 and PS3? A matrix of sound and effects around you in a game is definitely an immersive experience, especially when you can hear and almost feel bullets wizzing by your head or hear the footsteps of an enemy behind you in a shooter.
[QUOTE="jimm895"]I don't think it will happen because the extra data needed will not fit on the HD DVD with out compressing it causing a loss in quality. The Blu-Ray is using a much larger amount of space and it doesn't hace to be compressed onto the disc thus keeping the quality at it's peak.rwbojorquez
Do you know that most blu-ray movies are on 25 gigs disc and hd-dvd are on 30 gigs. go to your nearest store and find out is on the box on the back.
Actually most recent and newer releases of Bluray movies are on the 50GB dual layer discs.
Same here. Depending on what I'm playing at the moment determines how much of a "fan" of a particular system I am. I popped in WarioWare last night for the first time and for the first time since owning all three systems I might be leaning to the Wii. I wasn't even excited about that game when Gamefly sent it to me (bottom of my queue). Pleasant surprise.
meh . . i was hoping that EA would resove all of these types of issues with the PS3 version, but I guess not. This is a bit of a letdown on EA's part--they couldve done better.biggamerhk
Why should EA work much harder to satisfy such a small userbase?
or is it just bad programming when porting or something

He's why it happened...PS3 is NOT more powerful where it counts--Gaming Power. In other words the cell is great for folding @ home and things like that, but most of its power is lost on game code. And the real issue here is the GPU. The GPU in the 360 is more powerful than the GPU in the PS3. And this proves it.
How does this prove it? If the 09 version of Madden is still at 30fps then you could make a case.
or is it just bad programming when porting or something

I don't think it's "bad" programming or what have you. It took 3 versions before the 360 was able to run the game at 60fps and it's easier to develope for than the PS3. Further why would EA put in the extra effort for a PS3 version with such a small userbase? It's not sensible economically. And the PS3 isn't more powerful than the 360, despite what Sony and its fans tell you.
