Do you love games and the varied technologies used to run them? Are you comfortable with the ins and outs of all game consoles, can tinker with PC components in your sleep, and make even the most complex tech instructions accessible? Then you might be the Tech Editor we're looking for!
Based in GameSpot's San Francisco offices, the Tech Editor will join GameSpot's global editorial team and create enjoyable, informative content about games-related hardware, software, and other technology. The person we're looking for will have broad and in-depth knowledge about gaming-related technology areas such as PCs, graphic cards, consoles, peripherals, VR, and more, and will have the ability to transform often complicated topics into accessible, easily digestable content.
The Tech Editor (who'll be employed on a contract basis) will be working across written and video content, so we're looking for someone who can not only write and present informative and entertaining coverage of tech, but who can also be a great presence in front of the camera. The Tech Editor will be expected to create content ranging from hardware reviews and tech previews, to graphics card comparisons and explainers, and much more, with a particular focus on creating in-depth guides and galleries for the GameSpot audience on a wide variety of tech-related subjects.
If this sounds like you, then email me at randolph.ramsay@cbsinteractive.com. Make sure your email subject header is "Tech Editor GameSpot". The job will be based in our San Francisco office, so you'll need to be local (or be able to move to the Bay Area quickly) to score the gig.
