Finaly Up-To-Date

Man, swiching to Linux is hard.
I was so used to Windows that it was a really hard thing to do, but I've finally managed to adjust myself to Linux.

The hardest part was getting it to play avi and mp3, because those formats aren't free, so after about 3 days I got that out off the way.

After that it was getting all the shows I watch, man soooo much downloading :P

And now I've just finished the most recent episode off Moonlight and I'm ready to be active again!!!

WIIIIIIII

Bye bye windows

Hi all,

you might have noticed I haven't been very active lately. Well, this is because my windows xp has had a huge crash.
It was even that bad that I couldn't even perform a normal install.

So I called a friend who gave me a Linux-Ubuntu cd, I installed it, and man this works great.

Unfortunately I've lost a lot of data and still have to figure out how the torrents work here.
So that means I have a lot of catching up to do.

I'll drop a line when I've caught up with all the shows I watch.

Nice Number Nine

I din't think it will last very long, so I thought I would just post this little "nicety".

I'm at level 9 with 99 %

I think it's cool, but I think that this time tomorrow I will be at level 10...
(this will also be a nice thing to put in my next blog entry)

A lot of new things

Especialy 3 new things.: new major, new avatar and NEW SEASONS!

-New Major: With switching to Land Survey, I've been inserted into a new group of people who are studying the same major. I'm glad I know a lot of these people already, because it's a small group (15 men) so it's not to weird. The subjects are very interesting, except for programming: it's a difficult professor: we have to do an exam Java with pen and paper instead of a pc...

-New avatar: I got a little bored with George from Blackadder, so I changed to Jekyll from the new show that aired this summer.

-New seasons: with Prison Break starting a week earlyier, I was very anxious to watch the premieres of Bones and House. House was great, but I miss the ducklings. Bones was interesting, with a story arc about a serial killer, gonne be juicy!

See you all soon!

A new year at the University

Tomorrow (monday) starts the new Academic Year here in Ghent.
I'm pretty curious, because after 3 years of studying Geography I'm going to Land Surveying.
(not such a big change, a lot of the courses are the same, but I will get some new kind of subjects).

It's all a bit more mathematical, and that's more up my alley!

I'll let you all know how it went!

Fall is almost here and so are the season premieres

Yesterday, most of you had the pleasure of watching the season premiere of Prison Break.

But because I live in Belgium, it aired at +- 5am. Even though I love PB, I'm not crazy.
So, this morning (for me that is) I contacted a family member that lives in the US and so I could watch the first of many season premieres!

Man IT ROCKED!!!!

But this makes me sooo hungry for al the other great season premieres to follow.

-Heroes: What happens after the bomb with Peter and Nathan? What happens to Hiro in the past? Is Sylar dead? Who is that Boogey Man? And why does Claire have a boyfriend?

-Bones: What happened after the wedding? What will Bones' father do this season? Will Booth and Bones hook op?

-Scrubs: What will JD and Elliot do.. (on this we have to wait even longer :( )

AND last but the one I'm looking forward to the most

HOUSE: What will happen? Ducklings? Cuddy? Wilson? House goes crazy and start shooting from a belltower? I'm soooo curious!!!!

And off course there are also the new seasons of Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons and after a long wait also Drawn Together!

This fall will be great!

You'll know what I did last summer

Within a little over 3 weeks we can finaly resume watching our favourite shows (House, Bones, American Dad, Family Guy and Prison Break) so I thought I would really start bloggingand start by telling everyone who wants to read this how my summer went.

During the summer I've been watching a lot of movies, but thanks to a friend I've been hooked on Scrubs and Weeds

But that's not all, I've been studying for my second term exams (don't really know if you have such a thing in the US, basicly if you don't pass for a particular class in your first term, you get a second chance)
Normally I would have had about 10 exams, but since I'm changing my major (from Geography to Land Survey) I only had to do 3. (They didn't go to well)

But the best part of summer is yet to come.
For about 3 weeks now, I've got a new girlfriend, and believe me ME HAPPY!!!

Now the next 3 weeks will not just be waiting with high exectations towards the fall season, or even spending all days with my girl.
No, I have to start working on Student Kick-Off (http://www.studentkickoff.be).
This is the biggest wecoming event for Belgian Students ever and I'm helping to putt it all together.
(wish me luck)

That's about it for now, I'll make some more efforts to this blog, forum posts and reviews.

Summer's just around the corner

The 20th of june, just a few hours separate us from summer.

But what's summer all about? Well, parties, sun, drinks, holidays, ....
But wait a second, the shows on tv are not that goo.

Darn ...

Luckily, i've discovered a new show: Jekyll, great Britsh mystery.
And ME LIKE!!!

But that doesn't stop the fact that we still have to wait 3 months (or even more)until our good friend: Greg House, Booth and Brennan, Michael Scofield, Jack Bauer or Doctor Jack will be back in our lives.

Thank god for dvd's, they will be lots of fun after some late barbecues...

Cheers
