@wemmick: No, I did not. And I see some legitimate spam in that folder, but nothing from gamespot.
To be a little more specific, when I try to reset my password (this is before I can get a password reset) it begins loading a page. It does this for a while (maybe 30-60 seconds) before stopping, and telling me something went wrong, and that they (the staff probably) are working on it.
I am absolutely 100% positive that I have an account that uses that particular email address. I know this because I have updates for games and stuff from gamespot.

@gameshit101: See if you can remember a little bit more about the first game you mentioned. A handgun isn't really much to go on.
I've returned with another game. Unfortunately, another one that I haven't played myself. Like before, this was one that my friend had play in her past.
She played it around 2000, if that helps at all.
It was most likely played on the PC.
It is a 2D game. Almost certainly a platformer. And it was intentionally pixelated (sounds like they were trying to make it look a little old-school.) She recalls there being a good deal of jumping, which would not be unusual for a platformer.
There were of course some monsters to fight, and she remembers there being health potions.
There were three characters that you could play as, and it's possible that one was a witch.
It is very possible that another one was a knight. (upon hearing that, I assumed the third was a thief of some kind. But that's just me. I've never seen the game myself.)
It apparently had closed dungeons or something. Like Wyv and Keep (which I'm showing below.) She said it looked very similar to that game.

There was pixelated information at the top. Probably score or health or something.
I hope this is enough information. I don't think there's quite as much as there was last time.
@Planeforger: It appears you guess right. Thank you. :) Didn't expect someone to get this on the first try. I myself had tried for several hours. Thank you again. Perhaps I will come back here in the future in search of other games.
@Planeforger: I cannot be entirely certain. One of the problems with having a friend in another country, is that you can't get an answer from them right away. Once she's online, I'll try to let you know. In the mean time, if anyone else has any idea what the game might be, please let me know.
Looking for an old game for a friend of mine.
I've tried to find it myself, but with my limited knowledge of console games, it has been very difficult.
I do have a decent amount of information about the game, so hopefully someone here will know what it is.
The game was likely played on a PS2, sometime around 2000-2003.
We know that it was 3D, but as of right now, I don't know what view it was. From the sound of it, I would say 1st or 3rd person.
She remembers there being two characters, alone, on a planet full of monsters. There is a good chance that they crash-landed on that planet and were stranded, but it's also possible that they were sent there on a mission.
There may well have been environmental dangers. She mentioned acid pools or something that you had to avoid, and there may have also been times where your characters were unable to breathe normally (probably to keep you moving).
She says that the characters wore some sort of armor (powered or otherwise) that resembled the MJOLNIR suit from Halo. She does not recall being able to see the character's faces.
We know the characters had guns, and they probably had jet packs. We are not certain if they had these jetpacks all the time.
The map was big, and there were some missions that you had to accomplish, so it may have been a wide-open sandbox game (though I cannot be sure about that).
There was no multiplayer that she can recall, which of course means that it was likely single-player only.
After doing a little looking myself, I came across a game called Tribes Ariel Assault. This was apparently not the same game, but I was told it had similar graphics, so please keep that in mind when replying.
Sorry if I didn't provide much information. I'll provide more as I find it.
I may need a little help...
A few years back, I made a gamespot account. I didn't really have time to use it, but I was told it would come in handy. Recently, I found a good reason to use my account, and came back to try and access it. That's when I ran into a problem.
I couldn't remember my old username, or my password. However, I still had the email address I used for it, so I tried to reset the password, thinking that I'd get my username back with the email, and I could simply make a new password. Well that didn't work,
For some reason, I was not allowed to reset my password, even though I know what address I used.
After contacting support and getting no answer, I made this account with hopes of getting help.
Is there anything I can do to get my old account back?
