How many times have we seen this recently? AAA marketing expenditure raises costs meaning that they need a huge amount of sales just to break even. Then the game might flop commercially even if it still sold moderately well. We had an article about Square Enix's mistakes just a few days ago. When will the publishers even learn?
The market for triple A titles has ALWAYS been oligopolistic. But that has never stopped smaller titles from being moderately successful. It's Square Enix own fault for having a "go big or go home" attitude for their every IP.
@Fernin-Ker @raweewat Go check out the definition of post cyberpunk. It doesn't mean after the fall of a cyberpunk world. GitS is a prime example of post cyberpunk. Also, Watch Dogs isn't noir.
