a moral system is great if made properly. Consequences that change the story, give different tasks and lead to different endings can drastically increase the experience and replay value of the game.
True. Its a pretty demanding job to create a game with a good flow between gameplay and story. Yes, there are tons of games with amazing stories like FF but that isn't truly combining gameplay and story. They are just plot-changing cutscenes, same as any movie. Games which really combine the two of them include GTA, Dead Space, Half-Life (not much of a story here) etc. where the gamer experiences/makes the story while playing.
