Changes coming to the WaT forum...

Alrighty, so I have no idea who really reads my very inconsistently updated blog, but I hope a lot of WaT fans that visit the boards do! I was hoping you guys could give me some opinon on what you'd like to see different with the forum. What kinds of threads would you like to see pinned? Off-topic thread (I think I know this answer - lol)? Weekly Episode threads pinned for a week? Separate thread dedicated for episode spoilers? I'm just throwing out ideas...now, that I'm finally done with school (yay!) I have more time to do things **I** want to do. hehe That includes sitting down and watching TV/Movies (i have so much saved up on my dVR) - lol....On that note, time to go watch So You Think You Can Dance! Let me know what ya'll wanna see with the Trace forum. I'm so excited :)

I'm an Editor!!

This will not be a long post ... But I just wanted you all to know that I'll be editing/moderating the Without a Trace forum :) This came to me as a surprise, but I definitely hope to spice up the forum a little bit and plan on working it within the next few days. If there is anything you guys want to see dont differently, just let me know :)

I love WaT!! haha

First Post

Well, I've finally come around to posting my first post here in this blog. I've been around here for a bit (nearly 200 posts in the forum - LOL) but I have never gotten around to doing this. Hopefully I'll be able to update this pretty regularly with thoughts and reactions to my TV. First off, I'd like to start off by listing the shows I will be watching the rest of this season. I have to cut back a couple of them (i.e. American Idol, The Apprentice, and Suvivor) because of a heavy duty semester at school, but this is what I'll be watching:

Prison Break: The show finally returned from its winter hiatus on Monday, Jan 22. It could not have come back at a better time or in a better way! I totally enjoyed "John Doe" and cannot wait to see where the writers are going to take the rest of Season 2. I totally could not believe Steadman killed himself! I sort of saw it coming, but now Linc, Michael and Kellerman are just in a bigger knot than they started out on.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: So this show is not getting the critic's acclaim anymore, nor is it getting the ratings it was supposed to. I am glad that NBC decided to stick with it for a full season. This show really does have potential. It definitely isn't going to be a West Wing because I feel you have more to write about in that case, as opposed to just about a TV show. I really enjoy, though, having the whole behind the scenes look at TV mixed in with a little bit of the personal lives of the cast members. I hope this show finds its footing after "Heroes" and that NBC has faith in its steady ratings to keep it going. I'd be interested to see where they decide to take this season.

House, MD: This is probably my newest guilty pleasure this season. Last spring my friend loaned me Season One on DVD. I took my time to watch that and found out that this show is great! Then I found that FOX was going to re-air Season Two (2 eppys per week) throughout the summer. So of course I took advantage of that. I initially planned on waiting till this summer to catch Season 3 but I caught the premiere (lack of self-control) and could not let it go! I am glad the show ended the whole House vs. Tritter thing when they returned from the little hiatus. Now, where they go from here is anyone's guess ...

LOST: So I have been very disappointed with this show since sometime during last season. It just hasn't been the same show that caught my eye in Season One. But, I am one to keep with my shows once I start unless they fail miserably or get cancelled, obviously (like The Nine :( ). From what the critics are saying, LOST's return on Feb. 7 is going to be like none other. Well, I'm definitely interested and curious in seeing how they will take the rest of Season 3 because I don't see this show lasting very much longer anyways ... It seems to be slowly slipping.

Grey's Anatomy: This show has got to be one of the best of TV. Most people might argue its starting to form itself in a soap-operaish style this season. I don't think that is entirely the case. The last episode was completely emotional. It drove me to tears (though not that much). I thought that it had to have been one of the best acted, written episodes of the season. This off-screen drama is starting to get old. At first I thought it was a publicity stunt back in October, but now I think it is just plain silly. Rumors have it that ABC wants to fire Isaiah Washington and just have his storyline end without warning. I totally think this would be a horrible move. On screen, the chemistry he has with the actors is superb and his storyline just started getting compelling during Season Two's finale. If you are going to get him off the show, conclude whatever storylines he is in and then let him go. I would prefer he stays because I think he is a good actor, but please do NOT just kick him off the show just like that. I am excited to see where this show goes too because I have heard so many juicy one-line teasers!!

Psych: This is probably the best friday-night filler show out there. It's only got 6 episodes left to finish out this season since USA brought it back last week after a very successful premiere in the summer. I just enjoy the on-screen humor and different perspective it brings on solving crimes.

I'll be catching on the Amazing Race:All Stars when that returns on Feb. 18.

And finally, last but in no way is it least ... Without a Trace: This is my favorite show on television and they have made Season 5 one of the best so far, in my opinion! The focus on the personal lives of the agents as well as the developments and intriguing cases they have come up with so far have made this show phenomenal again, after last season's sub-par performance. We just had our cliffhanger episode that will leave each of us wondering what the hell is coming up next for the next 3 weeks or so. "Primed" ended with a short Samantha flashback of what definitely seems like a traumatic and dramatic event that I am anxious for the writers to bring back up soon! She is my favorite character on the show and I just can't wait to find out more about her past! The new interaction with Danny & Elena has also been very fun. The teasers I'm hearing from my lovely friends at the forums have been scaring me for ep. #16. At first they made it sound like the writers are writing an episode that might make this show "jump the shark." But after a little more clairfication (no I don't know any spoilers and I'm happy for that!) it just seems like it will be a very dramatic episode with a turn of events that will make a long lasting impression of some kind on each of the agents. I'm excited to see what's coming!

So there you have it. My TV to be balance with my busiest semester here at school, University of Michigan ... I'm excited to keep up with this blog and babble on about my TV that no one else will probably have the patience or desire to listen to me about! LOL
