I dont see them making a discless version for a couple moreyears. Sometime in 2016, I could see them making a slim model that eliminated the hdmi pass-thru. They ditched kinect, so I dont see why the "extra" tv functions need to remain. They could make the internal drive swappable. To keep costs down still offer a 500GB model, but instead of offering a 1TB they could have a 2TB model. The price difference between 1TB hdds and 2TB hdds are pretty small. The overall size of the console could shrink in terms of depth and a little bit shorter in height, but the length would mainly stay the same. Also go with all matte black. Do away with the capacitive power button also to save on cost. Sell the 500GB model for $249 and the 2TB model for $299. I wouldn't care if they also eliminated the kinect port, but I don't see that happening.
@Zombie8814: yeah the difference between 30fps and 60 fps is night and day, but you cant honestly say the ps4 version was 60fps....its framerate averaged in the mid to upper 40s. The framerate on the xb1 version was capped at 30 and the game managed to stay above that offering a consistent fps. The PS4 version was capped at 60, but the ps4 couldnt run it at a consistent 60 with frames all over the place. Plenty of drops into the low 40s and even 30s. It lingered in the 40-50fps range more than anything.
The xb1 version or RotTR is also capped at 30, but it struggle to maintain 30...plenty of time spent around 25fps. Anyone hoping for 60fps in the ps4 version of RotTR is insane. With the technical advances of the game pushing the xb1 down to 20 and 25fps frequently, a 30 fps cap on the ps4 version is the most feasible and it will probably spend more time at 30 than the xb1 version. Maybe the mid 20s framerates will be gone in the ps4 version.
