I think the VA from Other M did a fine job, just wasn't given the script that made Samus stand out. She came off more like a emo/over cautious mother of a child that wasn't even hers, let alone.... the same species. lol

As to Hale.... We've only heard her scream, and grunt as Samus, how can anyone say she'd be perfect? I don't know about you all, but I've heard people make those noises and thought one thing. Then when they actually spoke, I thought something completely different.

Retro does need to take the reins again though. They are just awesome

This game has all the potential to be great, just like the past2 home console Zeldas, I don't care what people say about the art styles. I'm not saying they were horrible games by anymeans, they just didn't excite me.

WW probably did take the biggest chance by incorperating sailing into the mix, but to me.... that was just boring. When you make changes to such an important series, it has to be fun or people will hate you for it.

Sailing made sense because of the world they created, and was epic (at least to me) for about the first dungeon, maybe the second. I know the warps eliminated the sailing for the most part, but it still felt like a chore to me. I just hope the flying doesn't feel forced (again, this is just my opinion).

I think they have a lot of great ideas and from what I've seen so far, it looks like it's going to be a blast. I just hope everything works together and flows.

I don't understand what the big deal is. The Western world has different tastes than the Eastern World. I think that's pretty obvious, or should be by now.

The Western world isn't interested in pink-haired, orange-eyed anime'ish looking characters. I don't care how good the game is. I'm not knocking their styles that they use, but the vast majority of western gamers just don't like or want that. If they did, there wouldn't be a problem. Not to mention, the game genre's the Japanese developersusuallywork with are also not favored in the west imo.

The JP's companies that are successful actually make games that the Western world wants, they don't force unwanted products down our throats and then cry about them not selling afterwards. If worse came to worse, they could just hire Western Developers and publish the titles.... ya know, kind've like what Nintendo and Retro have going on.

Are they nuts??? There is no way this will contain 50 - 100 hrs of gameplay, unless this is the only game you ever play. Not in a million years. TP was supposed to have what.... 60? First run through, I beat it about 10-15 hours. Getting everything, maybe 35-40. Maybe my sit down sessions are just too intense, but where they come up with these numbers always blows my mind.

Interesting gameplay shown there though... curious to see how the game turns out. Looking better and better everytime.

I'm not so sure about this upgrade system just yet. Don't get me wrong, I've been saying they needed something like this for awhile, but I just hope it's not just for asthetic purposes. I'm all for upgrades and visual upgrades, but I really think it would be pointless on upgrading a wooden shield to it's maximum capabilites, when you know you're eventually going to get a metal shield.

It could work, just don't offer the metal shield unless the game is balanced enough (difficulty) is actually increased enough for me to even upgrade in the first place.

I hated the darned collecting system from WW, and this seems to mimic it closely. If it works and has a purpose, then kudos. If not, ugh..... another long, long wait....

it is looking beautiful though!

depends how much it costs, how much they market it, and if I can sell them on Ebay!

for me to get one..... really depends on price, and software at launch, and the upcoming games in the future after launch. I'm not buying another console on hopes of cool new ways to play games, and none of the games I want to play ever come out for the system.

Zelda is one of those series where you can never please everyone with because it has sooo many fans.

You make a dark erie Zelda, people complain

you make a bright cheerful Zelda, people complain

you make a game that does both (SS), and people complain (see the trend)

Twilight Princess was a major let down for me because I went in thinking it was going to be the next best thing since sliced bread. In my opinion, I was let down. From hyping it? Who knows. From Nintendo hyping it? Who knows. Most likely a little bit of both.

I think we'll see some amazing things when it comes to SS, graphically, story wise, etc. But my biggest gripe is the fact that Nintendo won't evolve Zelda the same way it does with Mario. I'm not saying they don't churn out one hell of a polished game, I just hate how they won't take a chance on trying new things.

The problem is when you have such a highly regarded series, and only change things just a tad here and thereand expect people to believe it and love it.... people catch on. I expect the combat of this game to be quite awesome and polished just as always, I just don't think that alone can make it stand out and change things up. Mario Galaxy just wasn't Mario 64 and better looking, it was a whole new way to play Mario. They need to learn that......

I do not know if it would be possible with the Wii U hardware but I was thinking this would make for an awesome level in a new Super Mario Bros. game. If you could see Mario on the television screen but all of the platforms were invisible but you could see the platforms on the controller's screen but Mario was invisible.

goblaa

That sounds impossible...and awesome

nothing's impossible, just the know how or the will power to learn how to............

I could totally see COD using it in some way or form, or at least some kind of FPS. Using a sniping rifle, or something else that has a powerful scope. When you want to use that particular scope, just hold the pad up like you're going to take a picture and the screen shows you looking through the scope. I think that would be neat.

Fatal frame comes to mind, and Zelda does for some reason as well (probably because of the ds Zelda's making use of the map drawings, etc.

I could see Samus having a handy gadget (you using the Wii pad) to scan something, or a different type of visor. That is, if we ever get another Retro Metroid FPA game. Ughh......

I'm not sure what version of Flash it supports, but if Wikipedia can be trusted in this case:

"On September 1, 2009, the Internet Channel was updated and made available for free. Users who downloaded it when it cost 500 Wii Points are to be compensated with a free Nintendo Entertainment System game download of their choice from the Virtual Console, worth 500 Wii Points, between October 1 and December 31, 2009. In addition, it updated Flash Player to Adobe Flash Lite 3.1, which corresponds to a full implementation of Adobe Flash version 8 with certain features of Flash 9."

"Third party APIs and SDKs have been released that allow developers to read the values of the Wii Remote buttons in both Flash and JavaScript. This allows for software that previously required keyboard controls to be converted for use with the Wii Remote."

Source with more info can be found (HERE)

I find it to be better than PS3's internet browser in many cases, with the only down side being unable to open multiple windows at once.

JollyGreenOne

nice! Thank you for the heads up (indeed if Wiki can be trusted). I would say it's safe to assume Wii U will also support the current player, if not something better, even it is an update down the road.
