alright folks, thanks for your input.
redmachine's forum posts
I've written alot of articles on games, some reviews, some rants, some opinion posts. Much like we do everyday.
I'm setting up a dedicated website to blogging like many do, but I will have ads that bring income.
Will this cause problems.. Its actually a pretty loaded questions seeing as searching and googling has not brought up anything dedicated to exactly what i'm asking.
what if you have ads on your blog?
you wouldn't be making money directly from them, but rather your opinion on a product.
Like lets say I talked about Mass Effect 2 in a somewhat negative fashion. Where would you guys get pictures for that?
things that don't have gamespot or IGN in the bottom corner. It's a slightly negative natured review or opinion blog post.
I'm posting here because of the bustling nature of gamespot forum users.
I'm having a difficult time finding information online regarding whether or not a blogger can post in-game screens or other screens without the direct permission of the developer. Perhaps the same question can be used for movies.
Which pictures can you post? not every game has press kits, or anything like that.
If i review a game on a blog, can I post pictures of the game I found online, if its a monitized blog does that make a difference.
Perhaps someone on here is smart enough to explain it to me.
I can't believe im one of you guys but I am.
I've replaced mine twice now. I'm waiting for my 3rd xbox 360 to come back to me now.
My first one was always handicapped. Weird noises, drive skips, freezes and bizzare noises. Lasted a year or so, not to bad..
I never had 3 red lights.. BUT it froze while loading the damn dashboard. So ya, i phoned support they said my warranty was out, he said "wink wink, we can fix it for free if you have the 3 red lights " i said " ya i got the 3 red lights " so i sent my first one in about 2 months ago. I got it back after about 3 - 1/2 weeks. I see the dude pull up, i get all excited, grab it, open it up plug it all in, boot up, no video - no sound - just 2 green, and 2 red flashing lights ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg_kJPb3OBw ) No ones ever heard of this crap.
So I phone them back the same day i get it from them, and let them know, i had to explain this disco mode looking S%*t to them 4 times before they finally sent a UPS label in my email and i printed it off and dropped it off. So that SAME one i got back is at the service center, and im waiting for a new one not a refurb. But i have no control over that.
So let me just say, i'm not impressed one bit. If i get this xbox360 back and it doesn't work rihgt out of the box, you'd want to keep your distance from me. I'm going to be pissed. I've waited LONG enough to play the games "I" bought with my own money, and the system I bought with my own money. Damn thing puts alot of us in debt.
I have lost alot of confidence in Microsoft, and at this point the only way they can redeem themselves is if they send me a brand new machine with the new motherboard Falcon, or that other one. If not, i'm not EVER going to pay for a 360 repair. But i will complain till they have no more room on their servers or mail room.
well its for sure, crazy, its def a ring, and its def torture. Well i hvae this page as a favortie. So ill come back here every so often and update this on the status of this. I mean I might as well. Everyone of us needs to know if there is a new issue on the horizon. I mean IMHO, if there is another major issue from MS that jeopardizes the integrity of the xbox 360, then I think action from us Consumers in a major way shall be accepted as nothing less.
Everyone knows of someone who has had an issue with red lights, freezing, or general failure. To many people. We spent good money, and ill rest on this and think about what we as a community can do.
It's true that I will be happy if my xbox comes back to me this time repaired, yes. But that doesnt help they next poor son of a **** from having to go through this for no reason.
What if i bought a car and it turns out that the engine starts but the transmission doesnt go into drive. I spent good money on that car, but i later find out that everyone else who bought this xbox 360 car are having the same trouble. Well instead of the manufactuer finding the problem and fixing it for sure. They don't and send out the new model of the car with problems as well. So here we are the community of "car" buyers out in the world love the performance and things you can do with your new car, but we as a community have to come up with our own fixes. Standing around in our "Garages" trying to come up with a new fix for our "cars".
If this happened in real life the world would strike, they would riot, they would protest, they would want their money back. But when microsoft does it? nothing? oh one case against them that doesn't go anywhere.
Where are our voices? its our games?
ok thats enough out of me for now. I'm ranting but i believe i bring up some good points.
thanks for the link i'll give it a read. / as for reading street lights I can tell its a different shade basically. But also its positoin is the easiest way to tell.
Right now with this issue i sort of think I feel like how those people who FIRST started getting the 3 red lights felt. " oh don't worry sir, we can send it in for sevice and get it repaired " man I hope mine is not BS like that. I dont want to get it back again and have the same thing happen.
and I think I like the DROP better too, then the RGROD.
"it flashed but i'm color blind so i couldnt tell what colors they were"? This is a joke right.Travis350z28
Ya its what Sparky said.. its odd but its nearly impossible for me to tell the difference unless someone points it out for me. I see color, but differently and harder to distinguish.
As to the person who suggested opening it. I've watched tons of videos even doesnloaded the "pay" books off p2p, I do feel confident enough attempting stuff like that, but i feel i dont want to void a warranty with microsoft to attempt it. Cause it was initially sent in with the 3 red lights, the "New" xbox 360 they sent was supposed to be a new replacement machine. Looking at the manufactured date its may of 2006. So i assume its refurb(whcih i thought they were doing anymore with the 3 red lights) so i think its a refurb with new hardware in it, like Falcon or some other MB.
And for the toys R US guy, the person on the phone thought I was crazy too, but i tried to get them to go to the youtube video so they can see for themselves.
