[QUOTE="gamer082009"]You are WRONG. The 9800GT is better than the 8800GT..here's why. The 9800GT runs cooler and consumes less power (which may allow you to take overclocks a little further), it has DX 10.1 (i know it may not be used due to DX11, but still can't be ignored)) and it performs slightly better. So putting all those things together proves that it's better. So I'll say it again, the 9800GT is OBVIOUSLY better than the 8800GT!
Actualy you are wrong my friend, no desktop Nvidia card has dx10.1 support and the reality is that the majority of 9800gts sold are rebranded cards that were manufactured as 8800gt's, they are clocked exactly the same there is no way the 9800gt can perform better.
Well I was going off of something I read about the 9 series cards being 10.1 supported (that was my mistake I'm thinking ATi cards which some do support DX 10.1).., I do believe the 9800GT is better still, I mean what's the purpose to release a card labeled 9800GT if it doesn't improve somewhat over it's old predecessor 8800GT? its pretty obvious that you dont know your facts, 10.1 is on ATi's side, go to www.newegg.com under video cards search for Directx ver 10.1 you will NOT see any Nvidia cards on the list. 8800GT was discontinued and was renamed and rebranded as 9800GT.
