Does anyone know how to stop the noise that windows xp home edition does when you close any window? The mouse changes every time I change the deskstop background. I hate the noise it makes every time I change or bring down any window. Does anyone know the settings I have to go make this feature stop?

I need a new card. The last one I had was a 7600GT XFX card. It crapped out after about a year. Which is better at this point since there both about the same price?
