A friend of mine told me that your average dell laptop does not support a graphics card( i din check it our on my own) and ive been told by alot of ppl to go for HP, simply cuz Hp gives pretty much the same performance at lower prices
Thanks all for your comments, however i noticed alot of ppl sayin i shud stick to a PC, however im leavin for college in a couple of months so a PC is pretty much outa the question. so can anyone suggest a decent priced laptop that can handle most games.
I've had my computer for about 4 and a half years now. While i realise i cannot handle the latest games I could always play games like warcraft and WoW without any trouble. But recently my computer has been getting slower and slower. And I can barely open more than 5 tabs in chrome without it lagging like crazy. I know its time to get a new computer, but at the same time I'm due for a laptop. So can someone tell me what kind of laptops can handle the latest games on the market and the related specs. Or whether I should simply get a okay sorta laptop and get a really good PC
thanks for the tips, and i was gonna try keeping my xbox horizontal using two books as feet. but thanks for telling about the fans and stuff

well, its probably in this thread somewhere, but its too big to look through it. I have a few, possibly weird questions
-How do I upgrade weapons?
-Can I get new armour other than the N7?
-What is the point of scanning planets and using probes?
thanks

Upgrade weapons by finding or buying schematics from various shops/missions/interactions. You need Mordin in your group before you can start doing this.
There are dozens of different armour sets around the game, many stores have new bits. There is also two full special sets you get from either DLC or Dragon Age.
You scan planets to find materials that you use to upgrade your weapons, crew and ship.
Indicently, all this is explained in the booklet that comes with the game. Have you seen those things? They're great, they've got words in them and everything.
LOL. but i am still yet to start ME2 and im wondering, whats the point in upgrading your ship. does it make a difference in the suicide mission or what. because its not like we're gonna fight using the ship. are we?

Guys i wanna know if my comp can handle dragon age origins
these are my specs:
Intel pentium D processor 820
2.8 ghz
1gb ram
ati radeon x1300 pro
thanks
ionusX
negative your gpu is insufficiant for low and your cpu isnt fit for anything over medium
im going to recommend at LEAST upgrading the gpu if you want to get dragon age.
the gpu i recommend for this task is an ati hd 3650 my reasons: it wont bottleneck on your cpu it will take dragon age origins to about the same level of quality as your cpu can and its cheap. and on top of that it comes in agpx8 if you need it too be instead of pci-e. odds are you wont have to get a new psu on top of that either.
however i STRONGLY recommend saving for a new build entierly (about 300-400 bucks will easily waste your current setup) as it would be a MASSIVE improvement over what you have now. but yeha if you dont care and just want your dragon age hd 3650 will be the way to go. anything with any more power (well substantially any more power) would cause bottlenecks
dude im sorry but a lot of what u said kinda went over my head, just tell me i understood you right:
a) upgrade graphics card to ati hd 3650
or
b) buy a new and way way better computer.
am i right?
How to avoid the RROD? Don't buy a 360... simple. Seriously, you can't do much to avoid it... it will either happen or it won't.thetruespin
to late like i said already have one, and i just got mass effect 2 so i really wanna play it. so rather than tips that prevent RROD, how about tips that prevent it from happening for a really really long time
