Why does gamespot.com disallow new users to post more than 2 reviews!? What is the motivation for internet/game users to join/use the website? Please enlighten me! This isn't Yelp.com; it's not like game companies are paying people to use this.

What is the exact reason new users cannot submit more than two reviews? I am quite curious. Not to be inflammatory, but is it to deter people from joining? I'm bored, so I want to write reviews for games, not immediately sign up, spend fifteen minutes, then have to go somewhere else.
