Also, all you have to do to upgrade your silver membership is go to account management and then modify

membership,select gold,and type in your prepaid code,right???

My xbox 360 had the 3 red lights. But it still works fine. The only thing that happens is that I get the error message with all the foreign writing on it somtimes.
