Well if quantum computing ever works then that will replace anything we currently have. My friend is a physicist and apparently a quantum computer the size of a house would pump out as much processing power as all the current computer in the world put together currently...cant be 100% that true but hes a damn smart chap.

a quantum computer of any size would have infinite power.... the theory of a quantum computer is that when it get's the answer, it sends the answer back in time to it's past self, so anything you ask it you get the answer instantaneously.

lol you sure about this?

try running firefox in safe mode...or create a new firefox profile firefox is great..there must be some strange thing wrong in your case. firefox and all its addons is no match for chrome. besides, firefox is gonna have multiple processes too. and firefox never even crashes for me anyway

you should be fine if going 32 bit to 32 bit you won't want to do a "clean install" in your case

I would drop the GTX260 and get yourself a 4870 it has the same performance and is cheaper.SinfulPotato
the ati probably isn't even cheaper when you factor in electricity bills.

Amen :D

Always best to wait, read reviews etc. Never pre-order something that is untested in the big wide world.

I'm really sorry to say that yes, I think it was a mistake buying this. However, if the new NVidia cards don't measure up, it will have been a small(er) mistake... Here's hoping eh? :)

Koawinter

Best to wait? then why don't you just keep waiting because theres always something better a few months away.

Quoted for truth.

umm no.

nobody said to wait forever. i'm saying to wait 1 year after the newest gpus come out.

[QUOTE="mikeandsaints"]so the best thing is to wait in 2011 to buy the second generaion when direct11 pc games become more this is my opinion so my gtx 295 will serve me and in 2010;; what you think;; am i right in these things i am saying;;

i agree with this. even your gtx 295 is overkill. i say ppl should get a good DX10 card and use it for another year...then get a DX11 card a year from now. by then it should be cheaper to get a good DX11 card and more games will start to use DX11. imo, DX11 cards right now are a total waste of money.

5770 1gb

4870 1gb

gtx 260

im running mainly dow 2 warhammeronline/wow sims 3 eventually sc 2 diablo 3

TrentDondasKhan

not the 5770. the gtx 260 beats it: http://www.techspot.com/review/209-ati-radeon-hd-5770/

True but the HD4870 beats the gtx 260 and the HD4870 is better in price so id choose the HD4870

the gtx 260 beats the 4870, but it does cost a lil more http://www.guru3d.com/article/top-10-games-with-radeon-4870-1-gb--geforce-gtx-260-core-216-test/
