Mercenaries is the game I've been waiting to play. Hopefully it doesn't have the freezing issues that the xbox360 backwards compatibility had. It was unplayable on there.

I started playing last night. The game feels like Far Cry, but they have made a lot of changes. You get companions that are actually useful, and there's different ones to compliment your playstyle. The game is more immersive, you discover things like fishing/hunting spots by finding maps, reading magazines, and signs. You get missions by talking to the random people you encounter. The game also feels more fluid as far as shooting and moving.

Overall, the game is fun; if you like shooters, play it. I would say content wise, it is definitely worth paying for right now. Only negatives I've seen are a couple of wonky civilians, and had to reload a checkpoint because one mission wasn't activating correctly.

Be careful with OLED tv's, especially for gaming. Like the old Plasma tv's, they are prone to burn in from static images. People report it mostly with tv channel logos that stay in one spot on the screen. While not as bad as plasma tv's, it is still an issue to be aware of.

I'm going to disagree with the reviewer. I've played the game for about 8 hours so far, and it works fine---there was a day one patch that the reviewers may not have had. The only time the game pauses is when it saves, which happens when you complete an objective or use the weapons vendors and that's for about 2-3 seconds. I never had it pause in the middle of a shootout, nor have I had any frame rate issues so far. The shooting works fine--its a Cryengine game, so it feels similar to Crysis 2 and 3. There is a storyline so far in the amount of the game I've played and it makes sense in the context of the game.

I haven't tried the CO-OP yet, but I do know the company is planning to release either 12 or 20 (can't remember) missions for free. Is it the best game ever? No. Is it fun? I knew what I was getting into when I bought the game and am enjoying it. I don't think the game is as bad as the reviewers--(I read the IGN and Gamespot ones) say it is.

Just so everyone knows you can import your characters in from PVZ1 and it works across systems. I had the original on XBONE and got PVZ2 on PS4. At the mailbox at the hub in the game, it gives you the option to import. I clicked and it brought in all of my stuff. You also get bonus sticker packs based on what level you were. The only thing I'm not sure of is if you can upgrade the PVZ1 characters with the sticker packs in PVZ2. I know you can improve them in PVZ1 and then re-import them though.

While I did enjoy the base game last year, I never beat the storyline due to other games coming out. What I would like to see, (will never happen) is to take the game map and create a roleplaying/driving/combat game like the old AutoDuel. Basically a Fallout/Rage/GTAV combination using the entire country as a game world. Armed vehicles would make the driving around more exciting.

But like I said, it'll never happen.
