Today I thought it would be interesting to tell you why I have the username romo. Well romo is actually a nickname I got back when I was in high school. It was during my freshman year and I had a gym teacher who would give many of the students nicknames. Sometimes the name would be making fun of a kid, but luckily in my case it wasn't. Romo is actually a shortened version of my last name which is Romary. So you take off the "ary" and replace it with an "o". After my gym teacher gave this name to me everyone started calling me by it. Sometimes people would even call me a variation of the nickname like "Romes". This nickname lasted through all my years at high school, and even after graduating people who I went to school with still call me this. Romo never caught on now that I'm in college and no other nickname has been given to me.

By the way this gym teacher I had was my favorite I had throughout all my years at high school. He was about 70 and this was his last year before retiring, so he had accumulated a lot of days he could take off. This meant that it would be Monday and at the end of class he would say "Have a nice weekend". This was because he would just go to Florida for the rest of the week golfing. And when he was actually in class usually he would just set up a volleyball net and disappear for the rest of the class period.

Anyway, so that's the story of my username. Anyone else have a nickname from back in high school?
