Turns out I made a slight mistake. I've been getting Merchants of venice from my puppet-states. But apparantly this one time I got a regular venetian great merchant. Which is strange as its the only one I've gotten of its kind, even from my puppets. Perhaps its a bug but if it is, its a minor one. Afterwards I got plenty of Merchants of venice.

If I recall correctly then Skyrim itself was only 3-4GB upon installation. It offered hundreds of hours, so if TC's gameplay/size comparison holds up then that would make Dawnguard worth its price more then 99% of the full games out there.

Sadly it is not that great. Dawnguard is still well worth the price as it offers two new guilds, lots of side quests, new locations and a new transformation. That is more then you'll get from any Bioware DLC, when it comes to quantity/price then Bioware is among the worst out there. They rip-out the feature to customize your party members then sell you party member gear for a few dollar.

And the only reason why they're giving away free stuff now is because they screwed up horribly and they know their ME3 DLC will not sell unless they first fix their reputation. They even cancelled the last three DLC packs for DA2. Their games aren't selling right now and they can learn a lot from Bethesda here. Bethesda waited half a year before even announcing their first DLC to Skyrim. Skyrim is bigger then any Bioware game ever was (and by the look of things ever will be) and Bethesda did it without Day 1 DLC or pre-order BS.

The Dark Spire is definatly a WRPG but more of a classic dungeon crawler wRPG (of which I am not a fan). Dragon Quest 9 does seem to fit the bill, a JRPG that in some ways feels like a WRPG (maybe even more so then Goldensun). Thanks for all your help, I think I'll check out Dragon Quest.

I'm leaving on a jetplane (although I know when I'll be back again), and I came across my Nintendo DS that I haven't used in ages. I was wondering if there are any good Western RPGs on it. If you know a JRPG with some western appeal then please suggest it aswell (for example I always liked Goldensun but I never liked Final Fantasy). Thanks for your help!

Point Lookout is a must buy, so if you dont have it then get it now because for 400MP it is a steal. It feels very much like Bloodmoon for TES3 and Shivering Isles for TES4: a compleet new land with a new main quest, side quests and lots of locations to explore. All the other DLC packs are crap compaired to it. The only DLCI still need is mothership Zeta, I dont like it but for 400MP I might just get it aswell just to compleet my FO3 experience.

It's about the 360 and 360 gamers, and yes inorder to talk about that you have to sometimes compair it to other platforms and their fanbase. I wasn't talking negative about any platform in any way, just making an observation. If I would have posted this in systemwars it would have never stayed on the right subject so I had no choice but to post it there. I get a penalty for it while I see the most rediculous and insulting topics stay open. I know this doesn't help anything but since I'm done with this site I thought I might aswell complain a bit. First off, The 360 less hardcore than the Wii? I don't recall seeing Baby Party 2 on the 360. The 360 less hardcore than the PS3? They are essentially the same, obviously fanboys will argue one side is more 'hardcore' than the other but if you look at their library of games, it's all the same. Secondly, Lack of hardcore 360 gamers on this website? Geez you should be here for the flurry of Halo/Gears threads, not to mention multiplats like Call of Duty. Trust, there are hardcore 360 gamers on these forums, whether or not they choose to post is the real question.CTUDude

1. Having baby party2 doesn't mean you can't also have fans of a hardcore platform serie that's almost as old as gaming itself. The Wii has 50 million owners, sure most of them are mainstream but some (and I think more then the 360) are hardcore fans.

2. I'm not talking about the 360 and PS3 being the same, that has nothing to do with the hardcore fanbase. I'm saying that while both have similiar gamers the PS3 has oldschool Sony gamers that wouldnt get a 360 even if it had everything the PS3 had.

3. I'm not saying 360 doesn't have hardcore gamers, and yes, with big releases all of them show up. But I'm saying that overall Sony and Nintendo have more people that live and breath those companies. So that's more people that invest time in talking about it on sites like this.

hardcore fanbase......but we have Halo....look at MLG, NOTHING, nothing, nothing without Halo....don't tell me we don't have Hardcore fans.... I can't even think of one M rated Wii game, only no more heroes, wasn't even that good....online component of most wii games, terrible compared to xbox live, best gaming service around.... I'm not talking about which console is the best or which has the best games (otherwise this would be in the flamewar section) but I'm talking about the support group. No doubt that 360 has a fair number of hardcore gamers, perhaps even more then the Wii or PS3 but I'm talking hardcore fans. People that live and breath Nintendo or Sony and not one of their games but the company itself. I'm not immediatly talking about fanboys here because these people can still be objective they just got a strong preference mostly due to the console's style.

Maybe it's just me but I can clearly see a difference in support around sites like this and more mainstream sites such as a gaming section of a newssite. Personally I think it's a good thing because those people are the fans of the future and you need to keep working on getting new hardcore supporters, not just mainstreamers that switch sides for the next shiny thing(read: eyetoy/wii-mote/Natal).

Xbox 360 Less hardcore....than Wii? A console that prides itself on farries? Wow.......Logan1616

The Wii is more mainstream but as I said at the same time they got a hardcore fanbase that loved Nintendo since the Zelda and Mario days.
