the game came out like 2 or 3 weeks back i guess..not so sure about the demo..as far as i know they never released a demo is that correct?

I just got a new pc and got NFS Shift. After a white of searching the web on how to get the game to actually run, I got into a race and the frame rates are unplayable. Even on the lowest settings, the frame rate studders, albiet much more playable. WTF is wrong? These are my specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200

4GB DDR3 RAM

640GB HDD

ATI Radeon HD 4870 (with latest 9.9 drivers)

I ran Crysis at highest settings and it ran great.

My specs are Identical to yours except you have a bigger hard drive. Anyway I have the same problem as you as well as other ATI users. We just have to wait for a patch or hopefully the new ATI 9.10 drivers help..

I know, I'm not gonna get to excited about Dragon Age, hope It turns out to be a good game. I remember being really hyped for Far Cry 2, only to be disappointed when i played it..

I heard Risen was pretty good. I might eventually play it but If I were you I would wait for Dragon Age Origins..

Batman AA is a horror game? Condemned Criminal Origins, Stalker and Fear are pretty good..

Gears Of War, Resident Evil 5. Also Stalker can be played in 3rd person but It requires you open the console and type in some code or something like that..

Madden 98 is not baseball, MLB 2K9 is a good baseball game..
