Sorry about the misunderstanding, I guess it is a prebuilt. Just looked at it as a custom built becasue I picked all the componets out. Then they checked compatability, assemble and threw in a 3 year warrenety to boot. And for the monitor I went with a ViewSonic VX2433wm

One of the system was below 1200 and the other was over 1200. I am try to stay around the 1200 dollar mark. For the extra cost of the 4890 verses the 4870, and the differences in the specs..to me I couldn't see where it was worth the extra cost of 100 dollars. But I did upgrade to the 1 gig 4870 for an extra 30. Also I decreased the power sluppy down to 650 and saved 90 dollars there. This is what I went with. ANTEC NINE HUNDRED STEEL MID-TOWER ATX BLACK NO PS Bays:9/0/0/USB/1394 4 FANs 52553 ANTEC EA-650 *** 650W ATX V2.2 R1 Metal EarthWatts PS 68792 ASUS P6T SKT1366 ATX DDR3 2000 (6/12) PCI-E X16x3 PCIx2 INTEL X58 6400MTs A&GBL 78891 Core_I7 920 Extreme 2.66GHz INTEL SKT1366 8MB Cache Retail W/Heatsink Fan 76627 CRUCIAL CT12864BA1067 1GB DDR3 1066 Non-ECC 240-pin DIMM PC3 8500 77918 (X3) SAMSUNG SH-S223Q/BEBS Internal SATA DVD+/-RW BLACK 22X DVD Burner LIGHTSCRIBE BUFFER BULK w/Software 77510 ATI-SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL ATI Radeon HD4870 .1GB PCI-Express DDR5 Dual DVI HDTV Retail 77393 Cost $1223 More then likely I could of gotten it a little cheaper if I had assemblied it myself but having it assemblied and burned in and getting a 3 year warranty was woth the extra money. Not having to deal with returns and 30 days warranty that is on most everything. Again thank you all for your input.

I too am building my first system and it is mainly for gaming. Usually I just buy off the shelf but got tired of paying for things iI really didn't use or want. Anyways, after looking thru the review and forum boards I have found this one to be the most useful, thank you all for that. Here is the system I have put together and as for the HDD I already have them still in the box unopened got them about a little over a year ago. Added them in the list so everyone could see it. Also I will be using XP Pro SP2 for my OS again never used. Don't want to buy things I don't really have to. I am not that worried about sound as for I usually play with the speakers turned off, tired of the endless loop of music. I will be getting a new monitor looking some where between 20-22 inch. Already have keyboard and mouse. Here is the link, and like above you probably will have to sign in to see it. https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishLists.aspx?guid=13c5e666863e46d8829d085d16fde591
