He didn't come to Illinois until he was about 20. (although I'm unsure of his age... someone correct me plz ;_; ) Lincoln grew up in Indiana, he just got his start in politics in Illinois. He was also the reason why Illinois's capital is Springfield, and not Vandalia. And before Vandalia was the capital of Illinois, Kaskaskia was the capital. I forgot why they ditched the first state capital though... XDD Gaaaah. I'd get out my Illinois history book buuuut I can't find it now. YES I ACTUALLY HAVE ONE OF THOSE shut up.
