Each game is rated on it's own merits and innovations, they are not rated against each other and therefore you can not say 'omg how is game x rated the same as game y'.

Edge is just about the best games mag around and doesn't just hand out scores willy nilly. Get over it its just opinion.

The tank levels are worth the price alone imo.

 I havnt had any of the camera problems others are talking about and I see some saying the sensitivity is too slow but i actually find it just about right, in sniper mode it is obviously slower to aim. And I havn't noticed any slow down yet even when many things are going off on screen. I would certainly rate this game as one to pick up. :)

The advice from those in the know right now is, if you want to play the current games that are out (dx9) go for a x1950pro (512mb is nice) as it will slaughter the 8600 and give the 8800's a run for their money bang for buck it cant be beaten.

If you really really want a dx10 card then at least get a 8800gts 320mb.

There are some things to think about though, the 8 series driver support particularly for Vista is at the min **** and also these are the first dx10 capable cards so therefore they probably wont max crysis out (the developers themselves have stated the engine have to wait for tech to catch up to maximise it).

 From everything I have read about the 8600 it never comes recommended because it simply doesn't perform well enough given what else is out there.

It 100% looks like the Devs fav game of the last few months was Gears lmfao.The Gfx are ok atm nothing amazing.

Also someone tell me why in a vast jungle does this guy look like he is running down narrow corridors all the time? 

Good thread TC I think you are certainly right about this. If we look to the actual advertising material Nintendo are putting out there is very little that has just young children playing the console, the majority that I have seen is pushed towards my age group (20's).

It feels to me that Nintendo want to get hold of the people that come in from the pub with their mates and have a few games on the console. It used to be Wipeout and now its Wii sports.

The group play aspect is something I enjoy about Wii as online gaming can be a lot colder with everyone screaming how ub3r they are down the headsets.
