@ducusss @MatthewSnyder86 @PinchySkree The reality is people buy it because there's nothing better. PS4 sold 10 million units despite not having one compelling exclusive. It didn't have the appeal of being an all-in-one media player like the Xbox One. I have a friend who has a PS4, bought UFC, the thing sits and collects dust. But we don't demand better - and we need our fix.
I'm tired of the fetch quests in general myself. It's nice if they blend it in with some creative ones, but that rarely happens. I'd like MMO's to start requiring that you read the text and pay attention to what people are saying. I can ignore every word of warcraft and read quest descriptions purely to figure out what to do. I get that it isn't easy to create an open, huge, living world with thousands of NPC's that have dialogue, and expect the player to follow all of it. But take a page from walking dead and create a quest like this once in a while:
NPC Reads: "My family was killed, my wife has been turned into a zombie, and you and your friends need to leave. The barn is off limits as I keep my tools in there."
And NOT give me a quest that reads: "Should we go to the barn?" With a giant arrow pointing at the barn.
Stop dumbing down these games as if we're some mindless zombies. And if you want to appeal to the 10 and under crowd who can't figure that out - mark all of those quests as a "beginner mode" and just make it harder to rank up if you skip them.
I'm not impressed, I actually like the look of the PS3 controller better. This new one looks like a cheap 3rd party controller, like something you'd see from madkatz. No beveled edges on the sticks like the Xbox One, and that light bar on top is borderline ridiculous since the Playstation doesn't come with the eye. These combined with the added monitor in the middle of the controller... it's just too many addons that I would never want to use when they could have went the route of Xbox and improved on things that matter like improved rumble triggers.
I'm confused - the liars on extreme tech and other various sony fanboy sites that popped up only recently in the past few months said Xbox One cant handle 1080p with 60fps.
