Every fan of comic books or superheroes owes it to themselves to at least try out this game. It is incredibly fun. It is a little unpolished in some graphical areas but the missions are fun, causing destruction is sweet, lots of blood and gore, and most importantly is a great story (although I'm not all the way through, its told very well, and with good voice acting). IGN should not be relied on for reviews. Try out this game, it would only be a couple bucks to rent. You'll have a lot of fun, guaranteed. And thats what games are supposed to be about.

I'm very far into this game (i got it a little early) and it deserves higher (closer to what AU IGN gave it). I imagine the reviewer isn't a big fan of comics/superheros. Its a lot of fun and it would be a shame if people didn't play it because it only got 7.5, especially when people are so eager to play some of the garbage that gets high 9's or 10 and don't deserve them.

I wish they would have reviewed Prototype first seeing as how that comes out tomorrow and I would like to at least know if it is not complete garbage. (I don't buy based on reviews, but if a game gets less than 5 I get a little weary.)

Also I do not think the Ghostbusters game looks very good. Combat looks boring and it is so hard to capture such a funny movie well.

As someone who's played a bunch of Prototype already, I can tell you that its not garbage. If you've ever played Hulk: Ultimate Destruction on a last gen console, it plays a lot like that. Its very fun, although you can tell the graphics in certain parts are showing a little age (specifically trees). I would give it an 8.5, it is truly a great game

So I just got the game Mercs 2 and noticed there is DLC for $2 on the PSN. I was wondering, from those of you that enjoyed the game, is the DLC worth downloading? Also I thought a while back I heard you may be able to play as Obama in Mercs? is that in this DLC?

Honestly, I thought it was too long. It felt so repetitive and by the end of it all I just wanted to get it over with...

I thought it was a lot of fun although I think an 8.5 is way too generous. My main two issues with the game is it really didn't feel like James Bond. I thought a title on the original xbox (i think it was 007 everything or nothing) really captured that and took it in a cool direction. Secondly the story really felt disjointed at times and not all that coherent, ESPECIALLY if you haven't seen the movies or only have seen one. That being said it was really enjoyable. I think I would give it around a 7-7.5

GTA took itself way too seriously. And even then I felt like its storyline was a bit shallow. There were no real surprises, no twists, no turns. Just a 30 hour hunt for revenge. Saints Row 2 on the other hand had a great sense of humor, you could do a lot of hilarious things, and most importantly it was fun. Just plain fun. By the time I got to the end of gta, I just wanted to finish it and get it over with. All that being said, I respected the physics engine and the technical aspects of GTA...but that game will never get back in my system ever since i beat it. Whereas Saints Row 2 I love to play occasionally

I think the negativity you're seeing has a lot to do with the direction Nintendo is going. Trying to cater to everyone instead of 'gamers'. And mostly the people on these forums are gamers, therefore it makes sense why you read about people complaining about Wii. That being said as a sci-fi fan, I do think the Conduit looks really cool. Other than that I honestly don't respect Nintendo as a company because it doesn't listen to its audience.

do you just like multiplayer? as splinter cell had very lackluster online, mgo/mgs4 is good, its more tactical.shadowkiller11

No in fact I'm more of a single player guy lately to be honest, I love a game with a good story. But I like to have the multiplayer option now and then. And I liked splinter cell multiplayer because it was a cool concept and isn't just another FPS.
