A while back - it must have been around 2000-2005 because that's when I stopped video games for a while...so it's not old-old, but it's not a very known game and I need the name of it. I'm producer and lead designer for a video game that'll be released in December 2011 and I need that game to study; it has a characteristic in it that I need. Basically it was a stupid, pointless, Third person shooter with no plot, just running around a city shooting hundreds of bad guys or good guys or whoever...I got to level 3 and quit. But the one feature that stuck out: the use of cover. I'm not sure if any games have done this since then, but it worked like this: Whenever cover was around (a wall, a car in the street, etc) you could push a button when near the object/building, and the character would turn around to face the camera, and crouch with his back against the wall. You could press a second button and he would blindfire (shoot over the top of the source of cover without looking), or move around the side of the object or source of cover to shoot...it was just a cool feature and I was wondering if anybody knows the name of the game I'm talking about. If not, are there any similar TPS games that use creative uses for cover?
