Kinect will be an optional thing. Hell, if it does everything that was promised I'll end up picking one up because the whole logging into your profile and menu navigation was cool. That paint demo they showed would be something I'd sit around and goof off with for awhile. No way in hell would it replace my game pad though. It would be a nice option though.
Like DJ_Magneto said, shovelware is inevitable with a new addon. It just happens. I highly doubt MS will push Kinect to be the primary controller for one main reason, it is highly unlikely that the majority of Halo players and CoD players will be willing to adopt to an arms flailing style over a game pad. So yes, shovelware will be there but our game pads will be safe.
I just wanna know if people still getting the game. I didnt play the beta because i didnt have ODST so i want to know is it worth getting it. I also hear this is the last Halo game in the Halo series, is that true?

Yes, I'm currently saving up some money to buy the legendary edition. And no, this will certainly not be the last Halo game. People seem to misunderstand when Bungie said this will be their last Halo game. The keyword there is their. This is Bungie's last Halo game. Not THE last Halo game. Microsoft has given 343 industries the task of making and dealing with all things Halo after Reach. So, yes, there will be new Halo games, just not from Bungie. And just because it's not from Bungie doesn't mean it will suck. I have faith that 343 industries will make some awesome Halo games, as former Bungie employees are working there :]
This guy is correct, 343 Industries was founded specifically to handle all things Halo and not just Waypoint. Once Bungie finishes Reach, they want to go do something else for awhile and take a break from Halo. I can't blame them really, the Halo series has been the only thing they've been developing for nearly ten years.
I remember seeing both commercials right after getting my 360. Was confused as to what they were advertising until the logo popped up and I had a good laugh at it. The banned train station shootout one is pretty good too.
