@Tomcat2007: maybe they really didn't expect to sell this much after what happened to wii u, usually its just a marketing strategy and to ramp up hype for the product, i'm not sure what the case is (maybe both, who knows). Only time will tell if it will continue to sell and if the software goes along with it, i'm hoping for the best for ninty and it's superb ips.
@Hiraishin: when it will get a price cut it will start to sell a lot more, at it's current state you pretty much have to love zelda, the other games out right now are alright but not exactly system sellers! I feel that at a 200-250 price point in a few years maybe less it'll be a no brainer maybe even with a good pokemon game (fingers crossed)
I'm actually really happy for nintendo, i'm not sold yet for the switch, mainly because i cant really figure out if there will be a 3ds successor or not.. i love my 3ds library too much for it to be replaced right now. It's nice to see people are still buying consoles not just for raw power and graphics, hope to pick it up when its bundled with something, i'll probably wait till splatoon release or a shin megami game, if the console goes well there will be tons of games by then.
Wouldn't a new character drasticly change how people play and counter in the current season? If they announce her now and probably make her playable right away wouldn't it mess up season 2 gameplay wise? I'd love to see a new character join the roster to ow but i"m not sure how much to take competitive seriously if they start delivering content in the middle of the seasons.. can't wait for the new changes for season 3 though
@nparks: they are trying to make up for the wii u not understanding what nintendo fans really want, the only thing they seem to have grasped is the fact that their home consoles aren't selling anymore. Apart from that the switch seems freakishly bulky to bring around and in no way can replace a 3ds imo
