The 8700k processor is great if you can afford it, because not only you are going to play games but use your PC on a daily basis for numerous tasks. But keep in mind that CPU uses the new chipset that also uses dd4 ram. So by picking that CPU you gotta change the ram to dd4 with at least 2666 clock to make it worth your while. And if you are in between GPUs the integrated will help you fill that gap for a while, granted its no super GPU but its there and it works since can handle dx12. Keep in mind this CPU needs win 10 to work same as the mobo you pair it with. So if you are on Win7 now, upgrade the old kit to 10 so when you change parts and boot the PC can recognize them fine and not get stuck on reboot loop if you have Win7 .

As for the core dilemma, technology is going only one way, forward. So having the extra cores now doesnt mean they will get redundant in the near future.

Ram 2x8 dd4 2666 should be fine, because at least from my personal experience some ram sectors tend to "burn" over time and a single 16gb means that whenever the task you are performing pass for the damaged block the PC will either BSOD or stutter or hang, etc.

Am not familiar with AMD but their CPUs are also fine both in price and performance, its only a matter of branding, if you are familiar with Intel and know how they function you are going to pick Intel, same with AMD.

Lol OP...

You must be very young, the 2 guys didnt got together until they met back at the hotel, they arrived and left separately ( different plane class and seats), also you think that all the plane classes walk out of the same gateway?

But the ivans forgot the UK is basically a big brother state, you cant even scratch a nut without getting caught on some camera. Or maybe they knew and sent those 2 guys knowingly they would be burned only for them to disappear once they where back on mother russia.

@robotopbuddy: Might want to ask Giantbomb how they manage to have their toggle between light and dark mode. Since you both are owned by the same company.

Over one week and no fix, why do we need to be logged to gamespot to be able to view content on Dark mode.

Bring back the day/night toggle please.

@s1taz4a3l: thanks didn't know about that setting. and why not stay logged in using someone else's computer?

Thats not ideal and dark theme worked fine without being logged yesterday, other thread were someone from staff replied said it was an internal issue and they had to do some sort of rollback and that killed the cookie selection to have dark theme enabled.

I hope it gets fixed, cant stand light themes or being forced to log on to enjoy gamespot on dark theme.

It's so bright please fix this so I can go back to night mode.

You can change it on your profile check some of the early answers.

Now the "current issue", is that unless we are logged onto gamespot with our IDs the site will be day mode, i do most of my gamespot browsing without being logged so its a big deal for me.

*EDIT* Also i cant watch any video if my Firefox add on Bluhell firewall is on. And if Ublock Origin is on i cant post or edit my own posts.
