If "certain individuals" find the PS3 to be so "lame", then why in the hell do they waste their time in a PS3 forum with this apparant itch or need to tell everyone who likes it how inferior they think it is? You do not like it....congratulations....we get it. There is no real need for you to be in a PRO PS3 forum then, beings you cannot stand the system or Sony so much, is there?

Maybe it is just me, but I just do not understand the rational behind going directly into the proverbial "Lion's Den" of supporters that support something that you are against. I am sorry, but it just does not make much sense to me, as you will undoubtedly be out numbered and will subsequently be "ate for lunch" so to speak. So what is the real motive for doing this? Some people just love to argue I suppose, lol.

Well, let me sum it up for you very simply here. The PS3 has only been out for 4 MONTHS, and you speak as if it has already reached it's peak potential, lol. I have an Xbox 360 as well, which I love, but it did not have such a hot start either, if my memory serves me correctly, lol. Not to mention the fact that over a year after launch they are STILL lemoning out on people in ridiculous numbers. "I am on my 3rd 360", "I am on my 4th 360", I am on 360 number 5", ect., ect. It SURE AS HELL is not without it's design flaws either, my friend, so do not be such a hypocrite.

The 360 has had a year head start, so of course there are going to be better games. How many times does this simple, common sense fact need to be stated before "certain people" will actually use a bit of logical and critical thinking in order to see the obvious here? I guess blind fanboyism prevents certain facts from being able to be completely absorbed and integrated into a rational conclusion of the truth....such a shame.

Anyway, of course the PS3 is not perfect right now, but Jesus, man....give it more than 4 months to be able to show what it is capable of. The fact of the matter is, developers have not even begun to scratch the surface in regards to what the PS3 can do, so all you are really doing with such premature, gloom and doom "Sony sucks" bashing is setting yourself up to eventually have to eat your own words.

In conclusion, both PS3 and the 360 are great consoles, and each will have their fair share of great games, and if you were a "true gamer" as you stated you were, you would not be so prejudice against the PS3 just because it is Japanese. I could somewhat understand it if you just did not like any of the games that Playstation offers, (hard to believe that ANY serious gamer would hate all Playstation titles, lol.) but you seem to bash it just because it is made in Japan. How closed and narrow minded, man....come on. 

I am sorry for angering the sony gods. I have admitted that the system is overall a good product. But as far as a game console I am dissapointed. I am mostly upset by sony and the lies. I really wanted to play in 4D and b3yond and all that jazz because I am a video game lover and have been for almost 30 years now. And hope to be for another 30+. I wanted to c more than the 360 had.But am so far let down. As far as my HD knowlege and choice, my tv only goes up to 1080i. I have seen true 1080p HD-DVD and am hard pressed to c the difference. Or pay the difference. Also I am sorry for posting this topic here. I am kind of new to the forum reading and posting.

if you read the post I stated i am aware that all compontents are not made in america. I am saying I support an american BASED company. Just like I support american car companies. Well hardware failures are normal in the electronics buisiness. ps2 knows all about that. many millions of people have not had problems with the 360. 

If the cell is so superior and I don't dought it is, then why is it not evident? Where is that extra power being used? The bd player now that is useful and is a nice feature to have. But not needed for games. Would have been a nice add on device for people that wanted one. yes I do understand blue ray is superior to dvd. I own a HD-DVD player thank you. And I own that by choice. I think HD-DVD will win the format war. And if I am wrong than I will unplug my hd player from my 360 and plug in the bd player that would be made.

All I was trying to convey is what I see from sony and the new machine they continuously lie about. What my friend puts the ps3 above the 360? Why was the gamer expected to wait for sony to ring in the next gen. If I would have waited the extra year to play in your world I would be sadly dissapointed today. Sure maybe they will get better, but how long must we wait and how much must we spend. And why no choice to have bd or not?

Well, don't you think that if there were a better operating system for the pc companies would embrace it? I have found my computing experience over the last decade to be pretty good. Sure things could be better, but if any other operating system were as widely used as windows hackers would find weaknesses in them as well. And let's see here, on the note of innovation look at the ps3 controller. Microsoft sidewinder game pad for the pc 8 years ago was tilt sensitive. It was not that impressive then and it's not now.

How can you possibly say MS is not innovative? Look at the strides XBOXlive has made in the last year. I watched the first south park episode in HD from the xboxlive market place yesterday. And you know what? While I was waiting for the download I was able to listen to music streaming from my pc and play gears of war. Hmm not very progressive you say. MS game studios are putting out some good games lately also. And how about games that can be played on both vista on the pc and xbox? Over the live network no less.

Oh and don't forget at the end of the year xbox will be used by AT&T amongst other cable companies as an iptv box. Sony is so far behind the game fellas.

You just keep waiting for your system to get better. All the while many others and myself will enjoy all the things sony promises for the future,     now.

Well here is my recent take on sony's ps3 and online network so far.

First off, I am very disappointed in sony and the people that are buying the latest entertainment system/(hype system) from them. First off, sony is Japan based and MS is American based. And yes I realize components are not all made in the specified locations. I am an American and would like to support ideas that come from my homeland. There are so few to praise in the electronics market.

Second, sony has made and continues to make so many false promises to all parties involved with them. Shoving a blue ray player in every console they make? How many gamers actually need 1? Having the "power" to surf the internet at a snails pace. Most people have a pc, especially the ones that can afford a ps3. Memory card readers? Wow now that's advanced tech. why wastes the time when there are usb slots? Are the graphics more advanced than the competition? Not that can be seen yet. How's the music player and the way it interacts with games and other operating functions of the system? Downloads? Hmmmm. I thought the cell processor was all powerful! It can't seem to handle more than 1 task at a time. Can't download while playing games or doing anything else. And so on.

How about that playstation network? You would think with a whole year of delays they could have put a bit more thought into it. You know they have been thinking about it since MS came out with XBOXLIVE and this is all they can muster up. Too much blue ray and not enough game system. Sony once said things like 4D, play b3yond, the next gen don't start till we say. Well after an extra year and a extremely high price tag one would expect those statements to be somewhat true. Liers.

Now I may sound like a fanboy to some, and maybe I have become one to an extent but, I just love to play video games. In my gaming life I have owned every major console in the market starting with the Atari2600. But I have yet to see any overwhelming reason to buy a ps3/slow computer.
