11/07/10 Hi, i am giving a general outline of the Learning Styles we utilize.In the process You will get to know about different learning styles.And thus understand various things i am writing about.All of this related to each and everyone of us.Read through to know more, 1.Auditory and Visual learners Auditory intends the use of hearing.Auditory learners tend to understand more effectively through listening.eg,some people don't enjoy playing games without sound.Both Auditory and Visual learning go hand in hand.Visual learner process information by seeing it in print or other visual modes,including pictures or diagrams.So playing a game obviously needs us to excel in these 2 basic styles. 2.Applied or Conceptual Learners If you are an Applied learner,you prefer tasks that involve real objects and situations.Practical,real-life situations are ideal for you.Hence,we understand why the Nintendo Wii is so successful. If you are a Conceptual learner,you prefer to work with language and ideas;practical applications are not necessary for understanding. 3.Spatial or Verbal Learners Spatial learners are able to visualize,or mentally see,how things work or how they are positioned in space.Their strengths may include drawing,assembling things,or repairing.(those of you how are in construction or architectural line of work require mainly this skill) . Verbal learners lack skills in positioning things in space.Instead,they tend to rely on verbal or language skills. 4.Social or Independent Learners If you are a social learner,you prefer to work with others.You tend to be people oriented and to enjoy personal interaction.eg.you like playing with friends and prefer playing multi player games. If you are an Independent learner,you prefer to work and study alone.You intend to be self-directed or self-motivated and are goal oriented.(Such people prefer playing single player games). 5.Creative or Pragmatic Learners Creative learners are imaginative and innovative.They prefer to learn through discovery or experimentation.They are comfortable taking risks and following hunches.(It think some kind of Creativity is hidden any every gamer). Pragmatic learners are practical,logical,and systematic.They seek order and are comfortable following rules.(I think those gamers how are excellent at rpg's are pragmatic to some extent). Yeah,thats the 5 learning styles,hope you all have gained some knowledge about the learning styles because these styles apply to all the things we do in life.
