hi , i want to buy an xbox360 next week,

i am really worried about RROD; does the ELITE version has a lower failure rate than its predecessor consoles???

this tv has a contrast ratio of 3000:1 which seems to be low , does that mean it is a bad tv or not, its price is only 700$, should i go for it for my ps3 i need ur advice please , thanx
