All of gaming, mine is very recent.

I just got my new notebook (ASUS did not disappoint me, moreover, just made me happy I chose them; excellent computer and damn great service in general) and the first thing I did after getting rid of the bloatware and all that, I installed The Orange Box. Started up Halflife 2 all in high and full settings... almost made me cry when I saw every wrinkle and expression on the starting sequence...

That as of now is the best...

For an in-game thing, when me and my buddies were Playing COD: United Offensive. It was a Free for All, but there was one of us who was really good so what we did was spawn as American everytime he spawned as german and vice versa and targeted just him. That was fun... Oh yeah, and hitting each other with melee using the Russian grenade... damned drumsticks.

Etrian Odyssey (Great tool for fantasy fiction writing)

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Some puzzles are so hard-easy that you'll be hanging out for hours just to realize you just have to fold your DS...)

Elite Beat Agnets (AAAAAAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEENTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS)

Brain Age 2 (I am such a nerd...)

Can't stop playing Etrian Odyssey now...

I mean my alchemist Rei fell ill and collapsed just as he delivered a ball of blazing hot fire over a stalker, the guild is still grieving the loss...

But, good news is that the three alchemist brothers, Alphonse, Alric and Allen joined the guild recently. And Raj, the new medic is pretty cute that I, as a lonely landsneckt, could not peel my eyes from. Then there's Grey, he's always drunk, and Zero, waaaay more drumk than Grey ever was, is always hankering for some SM stuff from EO-Bay that you almost can't peel him off the guild mystical mac.

Good times... Good times...

I'm planning to upgrade my rig and I have the topic-mentioned choices but I can't seem to understand the difference.

I only know how to measure a processor by its speed. For example, what I know is that a Pentium D 3.60 Ghz is better than a Pentium Dual Core 2.0 Ghz.

I looked over the dual core dedscription and I got a little confused. Is, for example, the Pentium Dual Core 2.00 Ghz actually a processor with 4.00 Ghz speed or is it simply a processor that can run two programs with a speed of 2.00 like say if I ran two copies of Half-Life 2, there won't be any lag because of the processor.

As a reference, I want to play Oblivion in the best way possible. In the System Requirements Lab, it says that I need a processor with 3.00 Ghz, which means the Pentium D or can it also mean the Pentium Dual Core?

Thanks for those who could answer this.
