This is why Ubisoft has had so many failures recently and has closed 2 studios. They don't care what gamers or fans want anymore just what makes them "money" despite the fact that live service games aren't popular anymore and are a failing genre, with a couple of hits that people still play.

@dragonsama: The fact that the Switch is the 3rd best selling console of all time, proves he si wrong. The market for Xbox and Playstation maybe less than they were before, but also he current generation hasn't finished selling yet. The PS5 has sold more units in it's first 4 years than the PS4 did. But the Xbox has not sold more than the Xbox One. Which is, in my opinion their own fault for having their games launch on PC and Xbox as well as not releasing games from their super popular franchises and spending money buying companies instead of making great games.

@YumeriaYumi: The console market isn't shrinking by that much, the Nintendo Switch is the 3rd highest-selling console of all time. Only beat by PS2 and DS. The problem is MS has divided their fans by being on PC causing their consoles market to shrink. Sony's market has slowed a bit, but they have 3 more years to pick it up. The main issue is there isn't a lot of new IPs and franchise games coming out to incentive players to buy consoles. Now Sony and MS are launching their console-exclusive games to the PC. Consoles are cheaper than gaming pcs but there isn't much of a reason for a PC gamer to need a console anymore since the most popular games are released on PC these days. And with console prices being as high as they are, less people can afford to buy them. But if the Nintendo market is any indication the console market is not shrinking. People are just tired of bad games and games people want not to be made but instead just remasters and remakes.

@lewst2k1: Totally Agree with you. The main issue here is that there is 0 incentive to buy an Xbox Console. All their so-called Exclusive games are also available on the PC. They are starting to release more of their Xbox-only titles to PS5 and Nintendo. Sony outsold them in consoles, had better exclusives that were actually exclusive to their console and started selling on cross-platforms. Like with MLB the Show. So saying it is not growing is not an accurate statement. They released two consoles Xbox Series X with a Disc drive that has superior hardware to the Xbox Series S, making them directly compete with each other, Sony released a Digital and Disc console that has the exact same specs. Also, you can get the disc drive separately if you change your mind. The lack of backward compatibility, original IP games, and a string of recently bad games, has made the console market slow down. But it is in fact still growing. This is evidenced by the fact that consoles are still selling every month. The PS5 Pro launched and despite being super expensive has sold 78,086 units in Japan, haven't seen US numbers yet. We are heading into the holiday season so those numbers should go up. The fact is Xbox's business model of selling inferior digital consoles (if fanboys don't believe me, compare the specs) to their disc version has sold less consoles than Sony and Nintendo. Sony sold about 62.67 million units of PS5 Globally. Switch sold 143.88 million with the lite selling about the same amount as the regular one. Then the older switch sold 20 million roughly. Xbox sold 30.20 million units. For both digital and disc versions combined.

The Switch is the 3rd best-selling console of all time. The total number of consoles sold in this generation is 236.75 million. The last generation sold 280.73 consoles combined. The current generation is not over yet. Keep in mind the last generation was 7 years before the new consoles came out. We are only 4 years into the current generation. So no the console market isn't shrinking, Since the switch outsold every console but the PS2 and DS. Before the current Generation, most games were only available on Console. This is why they sold more units for the PS2, which is the biggest-selling console of all time with 158 million units sold. So people had to buy a console to play games, Xbox 360 was the best-selling Xbox Console. and in my opinion the last great exclusive library for Xbox. Xbox One has some good exclusives but what is the series X where are their popular franchises like Halo, Gears of War, and Fable? Microsoft has spent so much time and money buying gaming companies and getting their games on PC that they forgot to make the games that sold their consoles.

The only game on my Xbox is Starfield. They had bet on their Xbox Game Pass being what would put them over the top in sales and it backfired. Yes, it is popular among Xbox users but most people want to own their games and play them when they want. Games leaving game pass is the main reason I didn't subscribe to it. But it works both for PC and Xbox. So people who have a good PC would rather play the game than have their PCS. Plus it doesn't incentives them to buy games for 70 dollars a pop when 10-20 dollars a month gives them all the games they want to try and play. Basically, if you get a PS5, have a good PC, and get a Switch you can play all the games you want and never need an Xbox. They divided their own fan base. Lastly, Sony keeps pushing to innovate in new areas, like VR, 3D sounds, 4k Blu-ray, and others. Not everyone wants that but the option is there on top of coming out with great exclusives and some flops. That you can't get on any other platform, and the ones you can like HellDivers 2 are cross-functional play.

@Utnayan: Where are you getting your info from? Sony hasn't lost Billions on anything. The PSVR2 didn't sell as well as they thought it would at 500 dollars, but it did sell 600,000+ units and even more after they lowered the price to 350 dollars. they might have lost some money. They produce 2 million of them and even if costs them 261 dollars a unit (which is the estimated cost of manufacturing) that is 522 million costs to build all the units. Selling 600,000 at an average price of 550 dollars means they made 210,000,000 dollars on the unit in May of 2023 (which was the last reported to the public amount of units they sold). Therefore they only lost 240 million dollars on the PSVR2 which is nowhere near a billion much less billions. After they dropped the price to 350 dollars they sold a lot more. The exact number is unknown as Sony hasn't reported it. So they could have hit a profit or brought their loss to much less. The PC Adapter is a really smart move because it opens the audience up more as there are over 86 million PS5s sold, which means that any PC gamer who likes VR and also has a PS5 can buy one VR device to work on both systems. And opens the market up more on VR options, which in turn will probably drop the price of the PSVR2, Meta Quest, and other VR devices as the competition for the PC VR market gets new contenders.

@hellpedre: lol people get triggered so easily these days. But serious Gamespot even gave Fallout 76 a 4/10 when they reviewed it. The bigger joke is that Fallout Shelter is in the top 3, seriously a cellphone idle game. Calling it a game is being generous.

Ok, this list is very weird. Fallout Pinball is 8? And Fallout Shelter is better than Fallout 4, 2, and 1? Ya no, Fallout Shelter is a boring idle game that is fun at first but gets super boring after a few hours and has no reply ability nor takes long to unlock everything. That is more like 10. Fallout pinball doesn't count as it is a pinball game with a fallout theme. Fallout 1 and 2 are the top 5 and possibly the best games in the series. Fallout 76 is unplayable garbage that barely has any players, not to mention broken, it is so buggy it didn't even work on my computer It is a high-end gaming laptop, 2 years ago without constantly freezing and crashing. That should be 11. Fallout 3 and 4 are fine, I enjoyed them. New Vegas I haven't played yet but have always heard it is king. So the order really should be 11. Fallout 76, 8, Fallout Shelter 7. Fallout Brotherhood of Steel 6) Fall outTactics 5) Fallout 4 4) Fallout 3 3) Fallout 1 2) Fallout 2 and 1) Fallout New Vegas

I don't get why this movie is getting so many rave reviews and best picture awards from places like IGN and Gamespot. This movie was very dumb, I didn't find it funny (sure there were some funny moments that basically Zoolander and Efl did better), interesting, didn't really have a strong message and just abruptly ended up ignoring everything the movie was trying to say. It is just a bad movie. I know people who found it hilarious and loved the movie, but that to me doesn't translate to best picture. Comedy is very subjective but to be the best picture it should be at least liked by everyone that sees it, or even if you don't like it, you can understand why people love it. Because I am a guy people accuse me of not liking it because it was female empowerment. That is BS because I like plenty of female empowerment movies and Barbie stopped being about that halfway through and just ignored that message by the end. Also using the stereotype that men are sexist pigs is funny but also boring and not true for the majority of men. Having a weird Barbie, played by Kate McKinnon is a genius casting, margot robbie makes a perfect Barbie and Ryan Goslin is a perfect Ken, but the script they got was unfunny and their actions were just a rehash of other movies and shows. I don't get how this movie was great. skimmrank was considered the best horror movie of the year and has nothing to do with feminism and I HATED THE MOVIE. I don't get why people find that movie so great either. So just because I am a man doesn't mean my gender is why I like movies for not. Plain and simple Barbie is a dumb movie that some people find funny. There are lots of great comedies I found hilarious that others hated. That is okay since humor is subjective, but none of them won Best Picture. I don't remember Elf, Hangover, Ghostbusters, Big Lebowski, Galaxy Quest, Spaceballs, Friday, Coming to America, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam, or Legally Blond winning or even being nominated for Best Pictures.
