Off to read the posts!!! :D

P.S. I've been tryingto put a new Icon, but I just can't make it fit..
So, now I'll stop trying, but trust me.. It really has something to so with the XF.. :)

I guess... CHRISTMAS rant..

It's getting dark and it's very cold.. I had my afternoon coffee and decided that it's time to get this little profile of mine into Christmas mood. :) -notice the profile banner- :D

Winter is my favorite time of the year (I do live by the sea and tend to have really nice adventures during the summer).. but I like it when I come in from the cold, with a red nose and get warm with a big cup of tea or coffee.. I like to see Christmas decoration all over my town (although I never decorate my Tree before Christmas Eve).. People around me are in a good mood.. We all do our Christmas present shopping keeping in mind the smiles of those who will get those presents..

It doesn't snow in Pula.. and yesterday I had a unique opportunity to enjoy snow and snow flakes on my trip trough Slovenia, Austria and Germany.. and back! -I didn't make snow angles but I did catch snowflakes with my tongue  - and had the greatest time!!

The following week is for finishing up on Christmas shopping and finding a perfect Christmas card for all you X-Files TV.commers!!!

I know you'll like it! :D

I've got something for ya... :)

Hey!

I've done some stuff and been some places and this is what I brought home for all of you!!
Hope you like it!! :)

Sorry its not all to good in resolution

:)

Now I'm off to read those millions and millions of posts I've missed!!

See ya! ;)

What I'm trying to say...

This is what I wrote while working today..

A quiet afternoon at work and my mind goes racing 100 mph. One second I'm thinking about work (I'm supposed to be doing), then my thoughts go flying to that extra work I'm supposed to be finishing up and then the next second I'm thinking if Jerbs finished his fanfic(?), if Piper really decided to wear high heels more(?), if Katie made any new and cool banners for our world's famous MSR club(?), if Jilly noticed anything new lately(?), if super_snotling answered some more of those original questions(?), if Bruna found some new pics of DD for us to drull over(?), if Rachel made any new videos (that goes for Piper too)(?)...digression...

...and I also have to mention Rachel's new video on "Take my hand" by Dido...if you didn't see it yet, I have only one word... WHY? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbgbytQt2_E

...back to what I wanted to say...
Then I start to think if I will ever be able to visit you guys on that live chat(?), if C_J_B_Spender will soon give us the part II of his last blog entry, if H. has any more great love songs to send me....
What I'm trying to say...

I miss you guys and don't like the fact that I'm not on the Forum more often (EXTRA WORK)... and when I finish typing out this blog, instead of going toour debating arena aka The Forum, I'll be off to bed because I'm really tired.

*hopes you'll all stay here until she comes back* :)

Need I point out what this blog is about?

And 57 hours after I had bought the book I closed its pages, took a deep breath, closed my eyes and smiled.
I was still a bit confused on the children's names and which ones are whos and who's younger and who's older but eventually everything set into place and made perfect sense.

The saga of Harry Potter has finished and I thank J.K. Rowling for writing the "19 years later", because I don't know about you, but I truly needed that.
For me, the fact that made everything special is that generations of us that started reading Harry Potter years ago have actually been witnesses to that whole world unfolding before our eyes very slowly.Ten years have passed from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's's Stone and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and we never knew what was enrolled for us next. And that was the true magic.

Generations of children that have yet to come will read the Harry Potter books but they'll never know how it really felt to be a part of that somewhat truly magical world.

Because, one night I was strolling down my street with a friend and saw this strange old man dressed in the strangest combination ofclothes I'd ever seen.
The first thing that flew trough my mind was:
"He has got to be a wizard!!" I smiled, looked away and kept on strolling. :)

AND THE SUMMER GOES ON... and this time it brought the Phoenix

Ok... there's not much going on in my home town but for now we have our Pula Film Festival and last night I saw "Harry Potter andThe Order of the Phoenix". Special thing was that I saw the movie from a stone chair in a 3000 year old Amphitheatre where Gladiators use to fight for their right to live... under a clear sky full of stars... and this made all the difference.

Anyway, I liked the film very much and in my opinion it's the best Harry Potter film so far. The fact still remains that they changed so many things from the book but the story went along very fluently and everything made sense. I bring that up 'cause I find that the Goblet of Fire wasn't done very well. For me, it felt like jumping from one important scene to another without any connections. For those people who didn't read the 4th book before seeing the Goblet of Fire I think lots of things didn't make sense.
Now that I saw the 5th film I'm back on waiting for the 7th book... 3 days to go!!! :)

I was writing this blog while I was at work.... I worked in the afternoon, today, and the afternoon shifts just never end.... I talked to my best friend for an hour and a half and we even met half way to exchange some things (we work pretty close) and I wrote this blog.... so you really know it was a slow day!!!

So... the summer goes on... and you never know what it brings next...

Therefor I end this blog with the immortal words of the great Fox Mulder while he puts the Pelican on his front-yard:
"Bring it on!" ;)

Coincidence and faith with a twist of bad luck

The story I have to tell you is strange in more ways then one.

Five years ago when life for me dealt a strange hand of cards and I was forced to buy an apartment. I found a nice little place, not far from where I lived with my parents, a little apartment, 40 square meters of my own living space.
I was thrilled, thrilled even more so 'cause circumstances unfolded in that way that I would have never found the place with regular real-estate agencies. But that's not important.

The guy I bought it from was this strange man, a war veteran, that got the apartment from the army. He decided he wanted his own peace and quiet and that he would move to the outskirts. When I came to the picture as a buyer he was in the middle of tearing down some walls and putting up new ones in the apartment so I had to wait a while before moving in.

When the day came we sat down, signed the contract and handed money from one hand to another. A bigger part of the cash was handed to him in a blue envelope and a smaller part was put in his hand. My Mum was with me. He stood up, we shook hands, he put the blue envelope in his jacket pocket and the smaller amount of cash into his back pocket of his jeans.

My Mum noticed that his jacket pocket wasn't big enough for that blue envelope and she mentioned that to him before he left.
After he had left we started unpacking things, not 15min have passed and he was back and out of his mind. He had lost the blue envelope! He came back storming in the apartment, turning things over and looking for the envelope. Once he was convinced that the envelope wasn't in the apartment he left with a defeated look on his face.

After a while we met again. He said he went to this fortuneteller that had told him the money was found by someone who lives in my building (it wasn't me.. if it would have been me I would have gave him his money back).
He is a person, I guess, who believes in witchcraft and he told me he payed this woman to give the lost money some kind of curse. I didn't want to know the details.

After a year had passed, this big family up on the 4th floor wasn't so big anymore. The younger part of the family (their son, his wife and their child) moved out into a new house. The grandfather had a big stroke and his condition is still very bad...

My thought was... that finding that much money laying on the ground happens once in 3 lives but yet I wouldn't want that happening to me.

Would you?

Waxing philosphical....

Sometimes life tends to shake you right to the bones.
And the constant of life is a philosphy that there is no constant and there are no rules. People you are supposed to trust are not there for you to lean on, they are out there dealing with their own problems and you are left to deal with yours alone. I believe that that is the best way to go.

You learn as you go along and at the end of the day have only yourself to answer to.
Being independent is only an advantage in my book and nobody can prove me different.

I know that up to some point life has been good and kind to me and now when I've crossed that line life is what I've managed to make of it.
The magic I make with my mind, body and soul reflect on circumstances that sorround me. The circustamces I take as they come.
If they are a slap to the face...? I.. I slap back, of course! If they are a kiss...? I.. I kiss back.. with passion, of course!

I found out that when you put enthusiasm and couriosity of a child in what you do, you often get things your way without making it so obvious.
'Cause not everything has to be obvious.

We tend to get bad things in nice and polite packages, because people are hypocrites.
But sometimes... sometimes I wish I could get things as crude as humanly possible.... when I want it that way.
