Got my PS3 back!

So, yeah its official...I got my PS3 back. I also have Killzone 2, Soul Caliber 4, MGS4, and MotorStorm. I'm so happy.

My PS3 has been broken since september of last year. Whoo-hoo! lol...

Attempt to fix PS3(DRE) Pt 2

Yeah, I totally forgot about my second part of this whole situation lol. Turns out, I need a new lens for the blu ray drive. I would've been better off paying the $150 to Sony but seeing as my friends are generous and all, one of them offered to sell me a brand new 40gb for $100(But give him my old one but I get to keep my hard drive).

I don't care how he got it nor will I ask lol. Not sure when I'll buy it from him but I will soon.

Attempt to fix PS3(DRE)

Sup folks. Most of you who've been keeping an eye on me know that my PS3 DRE'd on me around a month after I bought it(September). It's been sitting in my room for quite sometime now. I can't play any disc, whether it's from blu rays to cds to dvds...nothing. But I can still play my downloaded games(the ones I play the most anyways...).

I was relying on Sony's help to fix my problem but sadly, I lost my reciept, thinking it wouldn't matter because Microsoft just checks the Serial Number for repairs. Yeah...that sucks.

Anyways...I'm going to attempt to fix my PS3's blu ray drive lens. Just to tell you guys, Sony won't touch your system at all if you take off the warranty sticker!!!!(This also stands if you considered paying them $150 to fix it...they won't do it!).

I finally got a torx screwdriver that could take out the security screw that's under the warranty sticker..wai...huh?

Oh crap..I forgot! I gotta go get some alcohol when I get to getting the whole system apart to get the blu ray drive out...I'll keep you guys posted when I get back...

Warhawk awesomeness

Who would've known that trophies and level ups could do so much as to upbringing someone's skill in a game they once sucked in.

I sucked in Warhawk since the day I bought it, but while my reign of being a trophy whore I figured I'd give it another chance yesturday after knowing that it has trophies and a training segment.

It took just a matter of half an hour to be good at the game thanks to trophies. I've gotten alot from the game in just a couple of hours. They were the ones that drove me to push myself at getting better and better.

Anywho, if anyone has a clan that I could join, msg me or send me an invite over PSN :).(I wantz teh trophies!)

I'm officially addicted to Trophies...

This is my first blog so..."yay" Ok enough of that.

Some of you know that I've just recently got myself a PS tha-reeee 2 Sundays ago. I've been playing MotorSport just to get a feel of the PS3 and gain my nostalgic feeling back seeing as most of my past systems have been PlayStations.

I was one of those people who always said that trophies aren't nothing and does nothing for games but without knowing, my attitude has changed for the worse or better...uh...well in my case, both!

I found my trophy collection to be empty while others on my friend's list from GS had trophies and were close to the next level. I felt like an oddball and all I wanted was to be better than them and have a higher level than them. So what I did was, I went in the PS store and purchased Super Stardust HD. I've tried so hard to get most of the trophies. I even bought the add-on with endless, survivor, bomber. As soon as I finally got my first gold trophy( "Get 10x Multiplier") I was happy and had a feeling of accomplishment because that led me to not only level up but surpass most of my friends on PSN.

There's 1 person on my friend's list that I still haven't surpassed and he's level 4. Even though I mostly everyone, I knew that wasn't enough. So I went back in the PS store and downloaded PixelJunk Eden. I haven't gotten any trophies in the game yet but I'm close to it.

Well, the point is: Before I could even realize it, I was already hooked on trophies. I think it adds more competition than Achievements seeing as I'm used to surpassing friends in levels.

I'm sure many of you are feeling this way as well. Trophies are addictive.
