computer crashed again after waking up from Deep Sleep. I have noticed that it crashes when my system is in deep sleep for 20-30+ mins. If it goes in Deep sleep and I bring it up within 20 to 30 minutes, it is fine but longer than that it crashes with a ATIDIAGLOG error (BSOD)...

Thank you all for your replies.

I removed the ATI drivers and the old Nvidia drivers (last night) and installed the latest drivers from ATI. I've also disabled the overclocking on the CPU for now. No crashes yet... I am not suspecting the temperature as it is running at around 59C on load (the card has 2 fans) but I will still look into the RivaTuner tool...

Cheers

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a Palit 4870 video card to replace my GeForce 7900 GT OC. Since I have replaced the card, I am getting blue screens (BSOD) whenever Windows Vista is "waking up" from Deep Sleep. This was not happening with my 7900 GT OC. I have updated the video driver to the latest one and I still have the same problem. Here is my computer specs:

-Q6600 2.4 GHZ overclocked to 3.5 GHZ (fully stable). I did drop the overclocking back to 2.4GHZ but still the same problem.

-ASUS Maximum Formula Motherboard with 4GB (2x2GB) RAM. I have flashed the latest Bios.

-OCZ 1000 Watt Power supply

-28" LCD monitor using a DVI to HDMI converter cable (monitor takes only HDMI)

-Running Vista SP1 (and then I installed the latest patches but still the same problem).

In the back of my head, I was thinking it would be a bad move to go back to ATI (Radeon 9600 use to cause problems...).

Regards
