What is that L1+B1 device that pumps yellow smoke into your mouth? I'm not sure what it does...everything goes quiet for a while but I can't tell what it's for.
Got it on Steam recently, and got it to work in 3dfx mode thanks to a helpful person in the game's Steam forums. It's really fun, and even though I had never played it back in the day, the game definitely brought back memories from that Windows 95/98 era.
The controls are definitely challenging, more so due to the digital input of keyboard (couldn't get any modern controllers of mine to work with this) but once you get used to it, it's a lot of fun. This and NFS 2 and 3 are games I'll probably revisit forever.
It is indeed a great show. I was hooked from the moment I read about it, and it's definitely one of those shows that makes you think really deep. You empathize deeply with the other version of the person who've undergone this procedure in the show; how claustrophobic and helpless they must feel to have to go through a never-ending work shift essentially.
After spending that much money, you'd have to think they want the games to be exclusive. But who knows, maybe they'll charge Sony a royalty to sell Call of Duty on PlayStation. Either way, not looking good for Sony, who can't survive on their own IPs the same way Nintendo can.
@Vodoo: That, and from a broader perspective, it'll be a situation where ill-informed masses will be like "URR, they're making a VIDEO GAME of a school shooting." Some things are just better left untouched for this (unfair, yes) reason.
@Barighm: Novel... game... same thing, same original source material. My point was it was all about the Witcher concept being adapted to other media. But in RDR's case, there's nothing unique about it since the game itself is based on the great westerns of the 50s and 60s.
@Spartan_418: lol exactly my thought the second I saw the headline. Whereas the Witcher series brings something new to tv, RDR is one giant tribute to all the many great westerns of the 50s and 60s. So it'd be bass-ackwards to make a movie or show about it.
