Well, here's something I would want to rant out a little: I do agree mostly what Kbaily says. Sonic Team were doing right on Heroes and Advances games. Shadow the Hedgehog got start of problems and afterward, there were so many fans are having chaotic criticism between many things. For example, who has better Sonic's voice? Ryan Drummond or Jason Griffin? I'm not gonna say because I don't want no one to flame me. But, anyhow, what I think about Sonic Games is go Fast, Beat Enemies, achieve goals. But, then also they want some spinoffs like Olympic Games & Book Series (like Sonic & the Secret Rings & new recently, Sonic & the Black Knight) and I'm okay with those for kids. With Sonic with gimmicks, it depends what kind of gimmick it is. Sonic & the Black Knight, I'm good with that, because I'm big fan with Sonic & Kingdom Hearts (and if you get the idea with Sonic with Keyblade. :P ). But, Shadow with a gun is cool with art, but game not really. I do agree that we should stop buying Sonic games (I'll maybe buy some, later), so the publishers can realize that about the situations. But, what also we should do, is try to come up ideas that will be awesome (by not adding gimmicks, but something that are creative and original) game, so that Sonic fans will be thrilled and wanted more, but I just don't get it how it's hard for people to visually understand of how Sonic should be and all other characters should be. From now on, if you Sonic fans or other gamers think if you want to buy it, think before you do, rent it first once it's released, so that if you're satisfied of having it forever, then buy it, because I don't want to force people, because we all have choices, and I bet there are some hardcore Sonic fans (where I was use to be) who would want to keep Sonic forever. For now, there are some "ugh" sonic games. But, since the only game is coming up is Winter Olympic games, but if Sonic Team are making another one, make suggestions or bring new ideas to replace to their idea. For me, I would do anything to make a great Sonic games and keep Sonic alive as possible, heck, If I was president of Sonic Team, I would try to get a great idea, and start to develop (and tell the publishers what we can do make it great publishing). Oh, and I would say Kbaily, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is a great idea. :D Any comments? :P
I understand what Shadow_of_kirby said. It's kind of like a pose sword, there are different kinds when you hold your sword. Actually, Imagine Sora kid (from Kingdom Hearts 2) holding, there are different poses in battle. And I talk to DizzyDennis and he played it at the NY cons, and he said it's pretty fun game. :D
Here's some art pics from Sonic and the Black Knight of the other characters that are going to appear in the game. As with Secret Rings, the cutscenes between levels will have a sort of woodcut print look to give the game its storybook feel. As with Secret Rings which most of us unanaimously decided was Sonic's dream, the friends will play as characters from the story Sonic reads instead of themselves.
From what I can tell here, Shadow and Knuckles seem to be the only ones who are playable besides Sonic. Tails is the blacksmith who will obviously forge and upgrade your weapons and from what I hear Amy plays a Lady of the Lake type character (or a Princess, I'm not sure).
I've pre-order that game, and actually going to review it. I like Sonic having a Sword, because I go to other union called Destiny Island, and I imagine having a hedgehog with a keyblade. And so, it'll be interesting once I get the game. Oh, and actually the game is releasing early at March 3rd (I think).
