Yeah, just like I've beaten a team of four when it was just me and another guy. It's a lot harder to do that in Gears of War than in Halo. Which is realistic.

Also, another thing that keeps Gears of War gamers coming back for more, whether they know it or not, is the unpredictability. How many times have you been seemingly shooting a guy in the back with a shotgun, then he just turns around, shoots you once, and you die?

In Halo, if a guy's shooting you in the back first, you're probably dead. There's not much chance for you to turn around and blow him away. Because Halo's too predictable. Gears is different everytime.

You're such a cute parrot say something else :)

Prove me wrong first. You haven't seemed to prove me wrong once.

I think you've proven yourself wrong.

Wow. LOL that made a lot of sense. I'm not going to argue with halo fanboys anymore, but Gears of War broke a lot of records, including some of Halo's. Just remember that when you try to tell me it's a better game.

By the way, Gears isn't all that futuristic. It's just on a different planet.

Pretty sure I own Halo and Halo 2. I like both of them, but Gears of War is a much better game.

Halo revolutionized first person shooters, right? Right. Well, at the end of the day, what makes Halo boring? Why do you put Halo down? Because you're doing the same thing over and over again. It's a first person shooter, and therefore has many limits.

same thing over and over again? r u high? in gears u get sick of running into stupid walls over and over again, gears is very poorly made, no vehicles, not many weapons, not many choices go and do differnt things during the game acept for running in the same direction and shooting the same 2 weapons over and over again,Fauij

And in Halo 2, I get sick of seeing the same atmosphere and reticule all the time on my screen. Gears has far more diversity when it comes to gameplay. In Halo, you shoot. Wow, big deal.

Also, a big problem with Halo is the fact that there are people that wake up, go to work, come home and play Halo for 8 hours, then rinse and repeat. They've done that for 2 1/2 years, and so they just pretty much kick the s**t out of anyone that they play. Gears, it's not like that. Yeah, there are people that are great at Gears, and believe it or not, I'm one of them. But there's not one person that hasn't had a game where you just suck drastically for whatever reason.

Unlike Halo, where if someone is amazing at the game, they will always own others. It gets very repetitive.

Gears, being in third person mode, brings a lot more innovation and ability to the table. You can roll, evade, and hide behind cover in a much more realistic sense than any other games. The cover system revolutionized many things, because while it had been in other games before where it takes one or two shots to kill you, Gears of war has implemented it like no other.

The down system is also revolutionary, giving players a second chance if they have been hurt too much or out of cover for too long. Allowing players to revive you while downed, but still allowing enemies to finish you off if no teamwork is used has allowed for a sense of forgiveness.

Another thing is teamwork. In Halo, no one cares about teamwork except in maybe capture the flag. You just go around and kill everyone. In Gears, you usually need teamwork to win, considering there are only 4 of you and you don't respawn. Note the revive thing above.

And by the way, I'd appreciate not being referred to as a kid. I think I deserve more respect than that, thank you.

Halo didn't revolutionize shooters.

Gears was not the first game to use a cover system.

Reviving downed players has been a part of the Battlefield series for a long time now.

I lovee games with teamwork. gears did encourage that, and that was one of the reasons I enjoyed playing it.

I know it wasn't the first to use cover. That's actually pretty much exactly what I said. It's also good that you're not saying Halo is better than Gears...because it's not. In pretty much any way.

But the reviving system is much different in Gears, and better as well. Don't forget, it's also been in Wolfenstein and other games. It's not a first, but just like many of its nonoriginal features, it does it better than all the games before it, and probably the games after it as well.

I've been in love with Gears of War multiplayer since I got the game. I think it blows Halo multiplayer away by a long shot.

There won't be a game as revolutionary as Gears for a long time.

I'd say Rock Band as of right now. A thing that really drives me to it (besides the whole band interface) is the downloadable albums feature that is rumored to be in the game. If that is indeed, I'm going to get it, because I would love to have Nirvana's whole Nevermind album on there.

I'll probably end up getting both, actually. =/ But maybe just the game for GH3 because I'd already have two guitars.

I just thought this would be an interesting topic...

Who's everyone's favorite game developer? Mine personally is Bioware, because I am a huge fan of RPG's and every RPG they've come out with to date I love. I recently got done with Jade Empire (both sides, open palm and closed fists) because my 360 broke. Who knew. But anyway. I feel a lot of bioware games are extremely polished, and while none have been perfect so far, neither have 99% of games.

Opinions?
