Screw what makes you look cool to other people. The top five games that I personally love are: 1. Wasteland (PC) - This game was released in 1988 and I spent hours.. *HOURS*.. huddled in front of my screaming fast 8088 processor and CGA monitor playing this game. To this day I and most people who have played Wasteland claim it as one of the few titles reaching RPG perfection. 2. Chrono Cross (PS) - Sure, Chrono Trigger was an absolutely brilliant game for the SNES and I was hesitant when buying Chrono Cross thinking that it would scar the series. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is more of an expansion of the story than a rewrite or continuation. And the updated PS graphics were awesome to behold. 3. Virtua Fighter 4 (PS2) - Fighting games do little to keep my attention so I was as surprised as could be when I first started tinkering with the Virtua Fighter series on the Sega Saturn. Virtua Fighter 4 kept me completely entertained by following each fighter's story as well as trying to memorize complex fighting styles, counters, and special attacks. Still a fun time to this day. 4. Toejam and Earl (Sega Genesis) - One of the first multiplayer games that my friends and I spent multitudes of caffeine enhanced hours playing. This game was hilarious and challenging without being frustrating. Also one of the few games that my friends and I actually beat as a team. 5.) Jade Empire (XBox) - Everything I loved about Knights of the Old Republic plus real-time fighting and switching martial arts styles on the fly. Amazing! I'll take Jade Empire to get my evil on any day.
