Its easy to see most postings in this forum are from people who have already invested in the platform so the last thing they would want to acknowledge is the system not selling well or at worst failing, there is a lot of propaganda for both Sony and Microsoft and even more afore mentioned fan-boys for both, If you want to get a clear picture of how things are selling walk into any decent sized retail chain in the WORLD and see just how much space/shelving is dedicated to either console and its line of games-to my disappointment retailers are giving more room to the 360 and the wii. 

In Singapore recentley I found some stores are not even touching ps3 products at all.   

Sony doesnt really care about how the well the ps3 sells outside japan, its sales in the land of the rising sun is everything, sony like any smart company plan for different outcomes when releasing a product thats why there is a huge price difference of     $250aus between The US/*** ps3 and the AUS/EURO release inadvertently we are subsidising the US/*** market.

The real comparison should be made between the Ps3 and the wii, in Japan the wii is king-A console with not so next gen graphics a more childish yet group experience but with inovative controls and affordable price tag, The PS3 awsome graphics(depending if you shelled out an additional 4ish grand for lcd-A sony of-course for best results) involving yet mostly single player experience but still the same old bag bar the sixaxis......

My opinion they rushed the r&d and costed the machine out of the reach of most Ps2 fans in oz anyway i guess you have to have nuked japan fifty years ago to get respected as a gaming community....

Im sure they are eagerly waiting for konami to finish MGS4 more than us and the fact that the wii is making the ps3 piss in japan should be scaring them..................
