I would wait for Assassins's Creed 2. I recently bought fallout 3 on PC after wasting my life on the Xbox versionand got the DLC's and that only kept me busy for about a week. The only thing keeping it alive is the Mods
I liked it, even managed to get the 1000g myslef. Granted it did get old after a while but it was one of the few games where a custom sountrack actually added to the gameplay. for example having the silent hill soundtrack playing made it seem alot scarier...
Well, i preordered the game, and when i actually found out how much they wanted for it, i found it utterly ridiculous (in Japan anyway) so I've since canceled it. The reason im no longer looking forward to it is that I've chosen not to buy it and i KNOW everyone on my FL is going to have it and trying to tempt me into wasting the money. I'm making a stand against money hungry devs here people!
i prefer Oblivion, i felt the environment was alot more varied and encounters alot less repetative for example like 90% of people in the wasteland are hostile. Im also taking DLC into account too, Oblivion in my eyes offering the superior. Characters design also seems much more in depth aswell.
Just buy a new one it's worth it. I had the one from the box then replaced it after to many problems happened. Like i'd have it plugged in then it would unplug by itself.

And a standard headphone jack is better? mine is always getting unplugged, first couple of times it even fell out =O
Yeah.... your not alone. I bought an elite after having used my old xbox to death and when i finally got around to using the actual elite headset (after about 3 months from original purchase) as the one i was using beforehand died, i noticed that the sound quality is really lacking compared. i also hate the new mute piece, it being like half way up the wire makes me actually need to move my hand off the controller to mute/unmute.... rather annoying.

Honestly, i'd try and ebay an original. none of the mics now are very good. I stopped using my wireless because the sound quality was off, now it would seem the wired ones are in the same boat. And they all require you to take a hand off of the control to mute/unmute.
