XBox 360 Hands On Kiosk

I went down to the local Gamestop yesterday to check out some stuff. I noticed a XBox 360 in the corner of the store...all alone. I jumped all over it.

It was running a demo of Call of Duty 2, King Kong, and Kameo. According to the clerk, CoD2 was getting tons of play, King Kong was being played about half as much, and NOBODY was playing Kameo. I'm not sure what that really means, since there are only 3 games to choose from, but take from it what you will.

I chose to try out CoD2. Let me preface this by stating that the XBox 360 was connected to a Samsung HD television. The game looked absolutely incredible. I couldn't believe how great it looked (me being the eternal pessimist). It looked way better than the screens, the video trailers, or any demo I'd seen previously. INCREDIBLE. I know the game won't look that good on my tv.

The dashboard is a lot nice than the og Xbox. Although, nothing was fully functional, I got the idea. It was cool being able to switch between gaming and other stuff, then switching back to my game without losing anything.

The controller is really cool. Obviously, we've all seen it. You know it looks very similar to the controller s. It is slightly smaller and seems to fit even better in my hands. What you may not know (it's hard to tell from the pictures) is how light weight the controller is. It'll be comfortable to use.

That's my first impression of the Xbox 360 in super edited form, as I was only given a few short minutes to play with it before I was pushed out of the way by a 12 year old nobody wants to mess with.
