g.a.m.e.

Just a quick plug for what's going to be an awesome event. If you're living in the San Francisco Bay Area I highly suggest you pick up a weekend or day pass to G.A.M.E. We're all gonna be there, so it'll be a great chance to check out all of your favorite Gamespotters in person as well as play some of the latest (even unreleased) games for all of the consoles (and PC). Anyway, if you're in town pick up a pass and come check it out - its lining up to be a great event.
Banners Vol. I
by seancoonce on Comments
So I've been helping out the design team a bit (mostly just keeping myself sane during breaks over the past two weeks) by making a few banners for some of my favorite or quasi-popular games. (I really think the gamespace banners give the gamespaces a much homier feel.)
Anyway, here are links to a few of them. Some of them suck, some are kinda cool - check them out and post any feedback you have.
BTW - big ups to Freeksngeeks for letting me help out and for general inspiration.
Mario Kart Double Dash (gc)
SSX 3 (ps2)
Kung Fu (nes)
Final Fantasy VII (ps)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (ps2)
Katamari Damacy (ps2)
Tony Hawk Underground 2 (ps2)
Wipeout Pure (psp)
NCAA 06 (xbox)
Lumines (psp)

Hello World

So, we finally got the site up and going.....and I have to say it looks pretty good (now). You really have to give props to the core Gamespot team (eds, production, development and sales) - everybody knows their part and everybody executes very well. I'm off to enjoy this site - I'll be adding games to my collection, tracking users and making forum posts - level 6, here I come.
