Yes, I would need all those things, I think i would go with XP right away because Vista is kinda spendy. I can go a lil higher in price to accomodate monitor and speakers, but around 1000-1200 for the actual PC parts would be preferred. I'm mainly concerned with like the motherboard, power supply, ram, etc...you know, all the stuff you would know a thousand times betterthansomeone likeme.

[QUOTE="sgrocker77"][QUOTE="Hiryuu_"]

CPU = Processor

What you're looking for is the "PC" which is Personal Computer. :)

Anyways, you should start out with a budget.. and where you're from.

And what is the price difference between an SLI card and
a normal one?

ok let me rephrase the question, are you planning to use two video cards or just one?

I know what SLI means, but I just don't know if i will use 1 or 2 yet. I was going to inquire the difference between the a 1 card motherboard and a 2 card one, because if it isn't a huge difference then I might as well spring for the SLI one.

Could you help me find a good motherboard and power supply and all the things i'd need for a good gaming computer? I know you guys know whats better and cheaper so could you help me with some links to good equipment?

Thanks a lot

Hey does anybody have time to price me out the pieces of a gaming cpu? Because I am looking to jump into the action and have about 1000-1,200 bucks to spend and I wanna see what you guys could hook me up with. I could build it myself, but I don't know what would be the best and all the lil things I should know when pieceing one together. So any tips or a few layouts would be greatly appreciated!

COD4 and HALO 3 both own KZ2. Face it Sony fanboys, ur system is practically dead :cry:THEhockeyGAMER

Incorrect...i'm a huge fan of CoD games and have wasted many, many hours of my life playing Halo 1&2, but still I am actually quite jealous of KZ2. I'll be the first to admit that this is one game that is shaping up pretty well, and should PS3 ever get to like 300 bucks, itwill be a must have for me. But for now i'm gonna stick to my CoD4 and Halo 3 cause I actually own a 360. But enjoy Killzone guys, with some polish it could be an excellent game.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the last boss from Condemned! Just ripping pieces off of him is the most satisfying thing i've ever played in my entire life. That was truly one of the greatest "Holy Crap" moments of any videogame.

Wow...long list coming up

First and foremost...I hated God of War with a passion; way too simplistic and repetitive!
Final Fantasy- Hate JRPG's
Kingdom Hearts- Same as above
Metal Gear Solid...played number 2 and thought it was one of the worst games ever made.
Zelda- I loved the 2d ones more than anyone...but i can't stand the 3D ones.
Splinter Cell- I Don't Like Sneaking
GTA- I Hate gangstas and I hate the game more

there are a lot more but i'll shutup there

Trying to beat some of the missions in Ninja Gaiden Black....i got so pissed i broke 2 controllers by whipping them at my wall.  Then i got smart and set up a series of pillows and blankets to gently catch my flying controller.  Now I can throw my f'in controller as much as I want with no problems :) Gosh those missions are wicked hard.
